FOUND YORKIE !!! please look miami area
 

Hello i have found a adorable yorkie male adult aprox 3 years old i found him very scared and wet and dirty. I cleaned him up and took him to the vet to get a check up they gave him shots and dewormed him. It had a chip on it which was untracable so i have had no luck finding the owner. I have a yorkie of my own which is why i cannot afford to keep this one. Thats so sweet of you to take him in. Have you tried all the vets in the area and the animal shelters to see if his owners are looking for him.

That is sweet that you done that for him, the world needs more people like you .

I really hope he finds a home wish I was near cause I'd have him too

I have tried shelters and pounds nothing yet my only hope is to find him a new home soon.

oh the poor little guy...so happy you found him and were able to take him in and clean him up and get him vetted....

Is there a Yorkie Rescue in your area? You dont want him to get into the wrong hands. Thats why Im suggesting a rescue. Does anyone remember the Blind Yorkie that was found with another dog a went to a rescue(I think in Florida)?

Poor fellow...hope he finds his mamma!

I read some place that those chips are not universal so maybe take him to a few different vets and let them scan him again.

Thanks for the Info i contacted them and they will be picking him up if no one adopts him by sunday. I did find someone very interested in the little guy a yorkietalk member so hopefully she takes him because i rather skip the adopting process trough any rescue and just give it to a loving home which after reviewing some info and hopefully talking to her soon i know this person will be the right one to take care of him. But thanks to all of you guys for giving me some feedback and ideas.
ps: just so you guys know he is looking healthier as the hours pass he has meat on his bones now and his coat is no longer gunky or tacky its very silkie now and clean.

I am not sure who this YT member is, hopefully someone that is a good member. Otherwise, I would be nervous. This is a public board and we get some random crazy people sometimes, and when you post about giving away a Yorkie for FREE - lots of crazy's come out of the wood work.

Is he neutered? I hope so, as this would concern me too. I would hate for him to wind up in the wrong hands and just used as a breeding machine. That's the good thing about the Rescue. If he needs to be neutered, they will do that first before they place him ;)

Please keep us posted, as he has entered many hearts here :)

Hopefully it is an older member who has been posting and is known to us so we can get updates and photos of how he is doing! I hope he gets a great home he is a cutie:)

Actually that Member after talking it out with family couldnt accept another dog which i respect there honesty. But thanks to you TLC for that great infor on floridayorkierescue i have contacted them and after hours of research have found that the best thing for him is to send him there. i spoke to kit from the rescue and she told me she already has a perfect family for this little one. I am so happy that i found him a home and a good one at that. :) i really appreciate this website and all of you for such great support it really makes me feel good to know theres many pets lovers out there willing to help a lost soul out. THANKS YORKIE TALK AND THANKS READERS!!!:)

Kit here from Florida Yorkie Rescue... just wanted to thank the people who referred YorkieLover1986 to our rescue group. This person is the sweetest guy! He not only found this dog in very bad shape (thin, matted, dirty, and hungry), he brought the dog to an Emergency Vet Clinic right away (which no doubt cost him a small fortune). The yorkie was checked for a microchip. It led to a puppy store no long in business. He treated the dog for worms. He brought the dog home, fed it, washed it (no doubt several times) brushed all the tangles and knots out of his hair, trimmed his nails and fed him a good quality dog food. He has had the dog for four days and no doubt this dog has been enjoying all the pampering. How I wish all the people we speak to who have found yorkies have treated them with such kindness and respect.

We will be picking up the dog in the morning. We have so many qualified and pre-screened homes just waiting for this little guy. He is going to have a wonderful life.

Heya kit thanks for the recognition! :) i hope u update me to let me know if he is doing good and if he found a caring home. Because in just 4 days i trully have fell for the little one hehe.

I have studied those pictures and I am not quite sure that this is the same dog. I would suggest however, that we let the person who found the yorkie email this person who posted the craig's list notice. I would not send the pictures that are on this site to the man who lost his dog. As we all know, there are people out there who will just as easily take a dog that doesn't belong to them...

I do know that YorkieLover was on Craig's List and posted a notice about the found dog. He did get a lot of people responding but of all the emails he got, there wasn't a match. So I do not think this is the same dog. And may I ask... "What the hell is a 6 pound yorkie doing in the back of a pick up truck???" Don't even get me started! ARGH!!!!!! :thumbdown

lol I thought the same thing about being in the back of the pickup truck, My baby wouldn't be caught outdoors much less in the back of a truck like that.

I wasn't sure it was the same dog either but It looked like it could be. No worries on sending pics anywhere, I don't have the dog so that wouldn't be my place. I figured that the OP could decide whether or not this was the same dog or could be and they would take care of it. They actually may have already contacted this person and excluded them. I just figured it was worth a try to get this little guy back to his original owner if he has one.

i actually see a resemblance in the lost ad picture and 3rd picture...my heart is breaking for the family that is missing him...i for one is living that nightmare right now...i hope the OP will contact the craiglist ad and see if that is him...

Not to defend the fact that animals are mistreated everyday, BUT they could have put the yorkie in the truck for a photo op... :) I do "set up" pics all the time with Bailey but I would NEVER let any harm come to him. I'd throw my body in front of his to protect him!!!

I do not like to put Muffy and Buddy on the ground in some strange places. So when we are traveling and stop to rest I will put them in the back of the truck and sit with them with there water and food. I have takin a picture just like that one. I just felt uncomfortable with the comment about the yorkie in the back of the truck. We have no clue as to why he/she was in there.

I hope he finds his home!!!
