				   | Little Elsy is going for her dental cleaning, removal of 4 canine teeth and spay tomorrow. I am nervous because she only weighs 2.8 lbs (she may have put on a few ounces since that weight but she is still tiny). Please keep her in your thoughts. |

| Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Puppy teeth are usually pulled at the time of spay/neuter but teeth should never be cleaned at the same time. The scraping of the teeth releases bacteria into the bloodstream which in turn can get to their surgery site. I hope your vet is only pulling the teeth and not cleaning the rest. Good luck to little Elsy.

				   | Sending prayers for you and Elsy, I hope her surgery goes well today. My little girl is about the same size as Elsy, She was spayed and had baby teeth removed a few weeks ago, she did really well, and now is back to her fiesty little self, It was comforting to me to see that so many had gone before me. to both of you, please keep us posted

				   | Elsy and I got home about 2:25. She did great. My vet thought that I was just too much to spay her at the same time so we just did the teeth. She has never been in heat and she is 15 mos old. We are planning on letting her get over this and then proceed with the spay. Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. |
