My Nico got out the gate!
 

Please pray for his safe return! He got out while my hubby was mowing the lawn Saturday morning. I have been looking or him day and night! I am so distraught! I don't know what to do! He has a chip in him but none of the vets have him! :confused:

I hope you find him. I would put out flyers and keep calling animal control someone could have turned him in

I'm so sorry , hope someone finds and call the police or go to a vet , put out flyers and talk to your neighbor, espicaly kids in the neighborhood maybe a reward.
I'm sooo sorry , I always knock my babies in the house when I'm mowing the lawn, people think I'm nuts, but I'm so afraid of them running out ,which they will I know.
Pls keep us posted , I'll pray for u and yr baby.

Start posting signs in your area (ALL OVER THE PLACE), call all Vets and Shelters EVERYDAY. Go on Craig's List, post a listing for a lost Yorkie and also look at listings that are selling Yorkies :(

You should put an ad in the newspaper, and you should also notify the police. If someone has found Nico, and knows he is lost (which should be obvious that a Yorkie is not a stray), and is keeping him, it may be "theft." This is Alabama’s statute on Theft of Lost Property: "A person commits the crime of theft of lost property if he actively obtains or exerts control over the property of another which he knows to have been lost or mislaid, or to have been delivered under a mistake as to the identity of the recipient or as to the nature or the amount of the property, and with intent to deprive the owner permanently of it, he fails to take reasonable measures to discover and notify the owner."

A very long time ago, on a windy day, my front door blew open and both dogs went running out the door. I wasn't home but when I did get home I noticed the door wide open and both dogs gone. I put flyers up everywhere and received calls with sightings but couldn't find the dogs. One woman called and said she's so sorry that she didn't know where they were but couldn't help to call and let me know what she saw. She said she was at the donut shop near the park up the street from where I lived at the time and she couldn't believe what she saw...these two odd couple dogs running down the street. She said the little one kept running in the street and the big one kept pushing the little one out of the street and onto the sidewalk and once they reached the park she lost sight of them. Bertha was protecting Ernie as she always did! Anyway, the flyers help. I posted them everywhere. An ad in the newspaper may help as well. Calling the local dog catcher is how I found my two. Perhaps calling all vets near you to keep an eye out for them and posting a lost dog sign in the office. Also, knocking on some neighbor's doors. If there are any businesses around you may want to let them know as well. I hope and pray you find your dog!

Aw I am so sorry to read this! :( I know you must be overwhelmed with concern right now, but I am praying for Nico's safe return!! Please give us an update as soon as you can. Hopefully, since there is a microchip, that will help too!

I'm so sorry to hear your dog got out. Hopefully someone caring finds him and returns him! I would do all the previous suggestions, I find so many dogs at our shelter that were stray and noone comes to look for them, its so sad. Please check there, leave a flyer there and leave them all over the place, you would be surprised how far they can travel, when my mom lost her boxer we put flyers up all over the area, she was found quite the distance from there! A area we weren't putting flyers up in, it would of took a good 20-25 min walk to get there :( Good luck
