| Sophie had her first vet visit today! Well, at least the first one with our vet. And she did great!! Of course all is well and she's a healthy, happy puppy! Our vet is SO good with small animals eventhough his "specialty" (i.e. where he makes his money) is with livestock. This is one of the reasons his prices are so reasonable with small animals ($50 for exam and new puppy kit). Anyway, she had her exam, fecal test, etc. and she's great! Good heart beat & clear lungs! And she didn't cry, bite, or bark at him. She sat there like a little trooper!!! I was so proud!!! He also answered all my questions about EVERYTHING! Crate training, cats being around her, traveling, etc. So she'll be going next for her rabies vaccine, bordatella, etc. in a few weeks and then her spaying at 6 mo. She did get a little car sick on the way up there and as we were going back, but both times were right as we were getting to the destination and getting out of the car. I accidentally jarred the crate around getting it out the first time, but the second time as we were getting home she had been in my lap and she got sick as the car was stopping. But she had had a little bit of food so I'm hoping by starting a feeding schedule and making sure to have it out of her system before we travel and maybe taking her for drives periodically will make that better. The vet said he'd give me some medicine if that didn't work. But I just wanted to share how well her visit went! I am a VERY PROUD mamma!!! |

| Glad that the first vet visit went so well for Sophie WHen Suzi was a little puppy she also became car sick all the time. However, she grew out of it . But, she still does not like to be in the car . She calms down though.
