| Newbie Hi,I'm Drew,I have a 4 year old Yorkie called Wilson. He was rushed to the vets last Friday as he collapsed at home. After what was probably the longest weekend ever,he's finally back home with us.He has been diagnosed with Addison's Disease, and has started a treatment for it.Though we're still awaiting the blood results, they are 99% sure it is Addison's. So after the weekend scare, and many tears thinking this may be a kidney problem,my boy is back here beside me,so I thought I'd say hello!

with minimal vomiting,it was only because we know his character so well that we knew there was something drastically wrong. He appeared depressed, lethargic, would not eat or drink and didn't want to be around us(which is VERY uncommon for him).Have a look here for more info if you wish http://www.addisondogs.com I'll post some pics of Wilson shortly.

| Hy Wilson's dad, Welcome... I have no advice or experience with this issue, but there is a section on YT for sick / injured and emergencies... you may want to start a thread there as you will get a lot more of responses ... you may want to put "Addison's " as the thread header ... to attract even more responses from people who has experience and knowledge about it ! Blessings !!!!

| Thanks for the welcome Addisons is quite rare and very easily missed,as it presents similar to a tummy upset but with less vomiting, maybe a couple of times a day.It was only because we new his character so well, that we knew there was something seriously wrong. He appeared very depressed and lethargic, with no appetite, and would not drink. The main thing that alerted us was when he didn't want to be around us.Anyway, there is a site if you google addisondogs.which is very informative, and can explain it a load better than myself! I'll start a thread on the sick/injured as suggested,so hopefully we can all be more aware of this disease. Awesome site by the way!
