| A little concern about Brandi Well today Brandi and I arrived in Nashville safely after a long 13 hour car ride. She was the perfect little angel, she slept most of the way. However since arriving at my cousin's house, I have notice a little blood when she goes potty. It wasn't there yesterday or even the during the ride down. She has a healty appetite and does not appear to have any other symptons. My cousin has two of the cutest dogs I've have ever seen. They are both about the same size as Brandi. My question is could Brandi be a little stressed out which may be causing the blood in her urine? She's in a new environment around two new dogs after riding 13 hours in a car. She is sticking to me like velcro. Her stools look normal and there is no blood in her stools. What do you guys think? I will probably take her to the vet here in Nashville if necessary. Oh I forgot to mention, when we first got here and I took her for potty at my cousins house, she started eating some grass. Something she has never done at home. She also throw it up. I am trying to remember if that is when the blood first started to appear. Last edited by yavenay; 07-24-2009 at 05:04 PM. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | With blood in the urine, calls for a vet visit if you ask me. Could be a problem with her kidneys. This can't be good. Please keep us up to date on on her. I am worried.

| Blood in the urine could be a simple UTI or more serious. It is definitely something that needs to be checked out by a vet ASAP. |

| Blood in the urine can be something so simple like "heat'... is she fixed? or an UTI or even something much more serious... pyometra... ( even if she is fixed she can get an infection of the 'stump"...) Take her to the vet ... and hopefully we will hear a very good update of a false alarm and all is fine with your girl.... Blessings !!!

| No blood in her urine this morning but that really does mean anything. She is fixed and she has had a uti before. I will probably still take her to the vet. Hopefully we can get her in today, if not, I will have to wait until Monday. Great way to start a vacation. Brandi is going to her first family reunion today. Her doggie cousins as well as my family will be there. My whole family is pretty much dog-lovers and they are already treating her like a spoiled baby. One of my cousins affectionately calls her "4X4" because she only has 4 teeth a weighs only 4lb. Hopefully I will be able to work on some of her socialization with other dogs. Thank goodness the other dogs are practically the same size as her as I would be so much more over protective of her with larger dogs. She is already getting used to her two doggie cousins, still a little skittish but she is getting much better. |
