| Stingy Marley has been taking both bullysticks and hoarding them on the couch where she knows Colt can't get to them. When I throw one back down to him he grabs it and Marley jumps down to get it and he runs around the house with it in his mouth ( quite funny ) but she eventually gets it again. I go round and round with these too. She is so stingy. I have duplicates of all the toys almost but it does not matter. She wants the one HE has. If he goes to the food bowl to get a piece of kibble, she goes to the bowl to get a piece of kibble. They are like Frick and Frack here , geez! LoL I know she loves him and they play together all the time now but does anyone else have a stingy yorkie? She also waits for him to drop his treat so she can snatch it up really quick but I reprimand her for that and take it from her and giveit back to him. I do everything in two's with them so it's not like i leave her out. She often times gets the bigger treat or more.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | We only have one Yorkie and although we love her to pieces, she is very, very selfish. In fact, she does not want us touching her toys at all. If we pick one up even to play fetch with her, she'll simply grab it back. Then she collects them and sits on them like she plans to hatch them! She doesn't nip or growl at us or anything like that but she likes to remind us that these are HER toys by gathering them all around her and then laying on them. It really is funny and amuses us a lot but we do sometimes wonder aloud how she would behave is we had another dog. (The groomers said she played well with others at her appointment but none of the "toys" were involved.) |

| Yogi and Gracie Ruth are this exact same way!! We have 2 of the same of many toys, but they only want the actual toy that the other has. Yogi is the worse as he is bigger/stronger and can take the toy easily from G. We've been working with them both to not steal the toy, but to wait until the one is done playing with it. Yogi will lay down just a fraction of an inch from G and stare at her until she's done. However, at times G likes to taunt Yogi with it. She'll stop chewing on it but it's right at the tips of her paws. She'll look at him and do this funny little woof-huff, as though daring him to try and steal it. Of course he can't resist and tries, she'll snatch it up and bolt off, yammering back at him, "Nanner-Nanner-Nanner, I've got the toy" He'll run off after her and then the chase is on. During that time, if he get the toy away from her I don't scold him...the game has changed from chewing to the chase. They are so comical, I could watch them play for hours.
