| Dog Baths, how often can I bathe my dog? How often should you bathe your dog? What's the most you should wash your dog per week or per month? Is there an alternative to cleaning your yorkie if indeed you can't bathe your dog often? Yeah, I'm new at this. Can you tell? He he he. Last edited by agent784; 07-20-2009 at 10:20 PM. The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | Welcome to YT! I have a Yorkie that I take into the shower with me every other week. Since she is a house dog and the house isn't that dirty that seems often enough. Hope you have fun here.

| Ours get a bathe once a week. As for the hair around the penis that is his pee string and should not be cut short. It is what directs the urine away from his fur.

| Hi and welcome to YT!! I give Roscoe a bath once a week. He likes to play with our other dog in our backyard and I really can't go longer than a week or he starts looking like a orphan dog! LOL

| I am SO glad you asked about the "pee string," as I had also been wondering about whether to trim that for some time!! Thanks for answering nanahas3! I guess I'll keep it as is, since I'd rather the pee NOT end up on his fur lol |

| Doggie wipes, does it have a special formula or do baby wipes work the same? Also, I don't even know where his weiner is. He's only 8 weeks and they all look the same to me. I never even imagined that I'd I've to cut the hair around that too. Much too frequently, I noticed how much of a difference your dog can look when their hair is trimmed properly. I'm also concerned about shampoo type. I was wondering how you clean the nose and top of head without getting shampoo in his eyes. How do you go about that? |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Clean up time My groomer says a bath once a week is more than enough. More than that can cause skin problems. I also use a spay paw fume its a finishing spay that makes them smell so good. After bath and in between bath times I also use Infusions conditioning spray when I brush their hair. I also use I spay I can not find right now that you spay on then wipe off for in between bath times and also bathwipes for puppies/dogs and even aloe baby wipes. Hope this helps!

| You can use a tearless pet shampoo on your pup's face. Then it isn't a huge deal if you get it in the eyes. Tigi Pet Head makes one. If you get the inside of the ears wet and don't use an ear cleaner/drying solution after, it could lead to a yeast infection.
