| Why do people ignore my larger baby?? I get a little upset for my Coco when people ohh and ahh over Pebbles. She is smaller than Coco and everyone just wants to say hello to her. I feel bad for him because he wants to say hello too!!

| I notice the same thing with Maximus... everybody falls for Mikki the tiny one but our love bug and cuddle monster gets ignored. I always turn to him then and let him know I love him... |

| Oh that is so sad. People are just always naturally drawn to little doggies, but I love them all. Roscoe is 10 pounds and he is just so adorable to me! I think they are both totally adorable. Just make sure you lavish him with tons of love and kisses!

| Why people are so attracted to the smaller ones is beyone me. Come here Coco, I will give you some loving. I love the larger ones as well. Buddy always get's the "look" but only because people don't belive how large he is. Just more to hug and love in IMO. They can't help it for being bigger they still have the same exact personality and want's as the smaller ones. Sad don't you think? |

| People usually give my Jewels more attention because shes smaller than Chachi also. I just think people are more attracted to smaller dogs

| I get that too I hardly ever see small-breed dogs where I live and surprisingly,I very rarely see yorkies smaller than Twinkle when I'm out (12lb), so Wicket (6lb) seems miniscule to people and he attracts a lot of attention. I like to think it's because he is a little more 'unusual' than people are used to, and not because they think he is cuter than Twink. xxx xxx

Thor's Human Donating Member | I agree, people are more interested in smaller, more puppyish-looking dogs. I found myself doing this with someone's two Aussie Shepards. I was exclaiming over how adorable the puppy was, and then I noticed the adult one, who was a handsome dog as well, but you don't SQUEE over adults.

| I've experienced this too. I was out at the dog park with Stella and a lady with a HUGE lab stops and says hi to Stella, who was going nuts, and she asks how old she is, and when I told her 5 months, she said "oh, she's BIG!" and I was kind of thinking...isn't she still about 1/20th the weight of your lab!? I'm sorry, but 5 lbs is NOT a big dog...and I'm pretty sure anything under 10, and probably even 15 depending on build, can still qualify as a "very small" dog. |

| Oh this happens to me too! My Fletcher is the happiest dog, he wags his tail at everyone and wants to be loved on, but everyone wants to pat and hold and give attention to my Dexter. Dexter is 5.5lbs and just a very petite dog whereas my Fletcher is about 9lbs and long and lean. I feel so bad for my Fletcher too. He's my baby! Dexter everyone shares (every though he's always in my arms and he prefers me to anyone else) but Fletcher he has a special place in my heart. He's such a dollface! (They both are really)

Yorkie Talker | I can sympathize. My first yorkie "Mi" weighed 3.2 lbs. and received the attention of everyone who saw her. Mi passed away and I received Skooter as a gift from my niece. Skooter is now 8 months old and weighs 9.7 lbs. and growing. He is adorable, but does not get the attention that smaller dogs get. I don't know why. Even my daughter who is home from college for the summer is not warming up to him as much as she did with Mi. Perhaps it's because she suffered a lot when she passed. I don't know... but it's not fair.

| My Coco is the light of my life. He has my heart. Don't get me wrong I love all my babies so much it hurts, but my Coco is my 1st and he chose me I didn't chose him. He is such a mushburger. I love when he is laying on the couch and just looks at you with his little eyes. Pebby is very cute and so little, but Coco is so lovable. I hate when he gets ignored. Everyone wants to hold Pebby. And he's like me too, me too. And Trix forget it, no one gives her the time of day. She is 10.6 lbs and also a mush. She will stay with you as long as you pet her.

YT 1000 Club Member | I think this is true with skin kids too. Everyone always pays more attention to the baby or the smaller child. Seems to be the way some are. I always try to pay attention to both skin or fur so no one feels shunned or left out. Every living thing has feelings!
