| ![]() Even if your dog does not understand the words, I am sure the feelings come through. Everything said should be kept upbeat and happy so that the dog gets good vibs. Shame on DH. |

| ![]() I don't think your over reacting. You're right, Marley didn't get the early learning Colt is getting so that's not fair to call her names like that. Plus, I too think they understand. I KNOW Curly does cuz even if I don't raise my voice, when I say "naughty girl" she puts her ears down and goes under the bed to sulk. So, if they understand "sit, stay, roll over, naughty, good, etc." why wouldn't they understand "stupid"? Tell hubs to cool out and be nice! ![]()

| ![]() The dogs feed off of your energy, and if DH is making you upset when he talks about Marley she will understand, esp if she always notices that you get upset and hears her name in the same sentence. I would politely ask him to stop teasing. If he loves you, and of course he does, then he will understand that it bothers you and he should stop. But then again, like I've said before, men are harder to train than dogs. ![]()

| ![]() I can understand your frustration. I agree that they feed off our energy, so just tell him that it really does bother you. Good luck!
