about something your furbutt did to your DH or signifigant other?? Just the other night I found myself fibbing to my husband for the sake of Marley ( who has been going inside the house lately since we got the new puppy ). She had pooped in our room so I quietly picked it up and flushed it. I then took the carpet steam cleaner into the room, and the DH asked what dog had gone potty in the bathroom. I said none, I just wanted to clean the carpet because I had been meaning to all weekend and had not got around to it yet. He believed me and just went on with his computer game. I just didn't want him to get mad at Marley or hear his mouth. Any of you ever take the blame or fib about your furbutts to "protect" them??

Um, how can I say this, YES. DH's don't need to hear every little thing, nor do they want to hear every little thing. I'm sure they shield us from the whole truth all the time too.

Nope no word on the kennel yet. I know that they were investigated though. Marley is doing great and just got her "summer hair cut"

He usually finds it first! I am sure I have said a few white lies to him when it comes to the yorkies... I agree.. ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Hey at least they were investigated. That's a start. Hopefully they will get what's deserving of their "service".

Dh is so smitten with Missy that she can get away with anything as far as he's concerned. I'd have no problems lying for her though, if I had to.

Same here. If I start to correct one of mine DH says awwwww hon they are just puppies. Even though Lolita is 5 years old.

Oh yeah, I have fibbed a few times. I also dog sit for friends sometimes and if Roscoe has a accident in the house, I'm horrible and I blame it on the other dog! I know that is awful!!

Pixie is my one who has accidents and my DH call her his perfect Pixie so she can do no wrong. So I don't have to lie, he wouldn't care what she did, she is perfect!!lol

Here too. That gives me an idea too. Next time he wants to know who did something I'm going to blame it on Roxie because she can do no wrong lol!!

Bella is so pitiful when she does something wrong (rolls over on her back or puts her ears back and makes the sad face) that my bf usually just ends up scooping her up and giving her belly rubs.

But when she is in danger of getting in trouble with her "daddy" she runs to me and of course when she's in my arms she never gets scolded.
