Senior Yorkie Talker | Clueless about Bows. Ok so I'm clueless when it comes to bows...Bella is tiny, only 4months, and I want to put some bows in by both ears. What kind should I buy? The ones with rubber bands or barrettes? Her hair is rather thin , so I'm not sure. Is there something else out there that I should get her? Thanks for the help! |

| Would love to see a picture of her. When Gracie Ruth was that age her hair wasn't really long enough to put up either. I wanted to let it grow out, yet it was getting in her eyes some. I started out using the small metal barrets then as her hair grew moved onto the tiny scrunchies & metal barrets and finally her hair got long enough to just use the scrunchies. When I want to do a bow(I like the ones on clips) I use the small grooming rubberbands. I put one around a small section in the front then a second around that ponytail and an additional amount from the back. Then I clip the bow between the two rubberbands. There's a good 'how to' in the grooming or showing forum. Here's a couple of pic's of G with her barrets. They are the ones you just sort of bend and the pop open or closed. I've found them and the tiny scrunchies at The Dollar Stores, grocery stores, Target, Walmart, & jewelry boutiques like Claires. These are the metal clips. They come in all sorts of colors Here she is wearing the scrunchies in pig tails. Here she is wearing a scrunchie ponytail Here she is wearing a bow

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | I used to put bows in Misty's hair. Within 30 minutes I would find them laying on the couch. Needless to say she must think she's cute enough without them!

| Boys can definitely wear bows!! But probably not the "double" like some of these, Fergus likes his "sprout" and will keep in a band or barrette but generally takes the bows out after a few hours. I have lots of "manly" bows for him, including camo! |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Thanks for all the tips everyone! I have used those little rubber bands in her hair, and all though they work well I noticed that when I took them out hair came out too. So then I cut them off, but there was still hair that came off. Is this normal or should I just stick to hair clips? |
