| Have you ever considered a pet sitter in their home? Some one who does it in their home, maybe a retired couple with 2-3 dogs at a time.. It would be great. I do pet sitting in my home and I have never ever had a problem with dogs getting along or being shy. For some reason they automatically accept me as their new "person" as soon as their owner leaves. Then they get attached to me and follow me around. Even when people say they are really shy or something, the dogs never have a problem opening up. I think it is the home environment, and they sense that here they behave and get along, and are safe with me, since I really do love them and they know it. You need to find some one with a passion for dogs that really enjoys hanging out with them, not just doing it for the money. If you go meet them I'm sure you will tell right away if they are good or not. Also, see if they can send you emails/texts/pics for free while you are away. It is always good to know they are safe!!
