| I believe you are talking about the texture of their hair. Some yorkies have thinner and more smooth hair (silky) and others have thicker hair that tangles more (cottony). Hope that helps!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | If you're asking the difference between a silky terrier vs a yorkshire terrier....the silky weighs in at around 10 pounds, they are longer than they are tall, the snout is shorter, and their hair will not grow to the floor if kept in coat.
