YT 1000 Club Member | Some of my register vents have little bits of rust on them and I've caught Roxie licking them. I make her stop when I see her doing it. I don't know why they think this tastes good or should be licked? It's never hurt her but I just don't care much for the idea.

| I have heard other saw their pup will lick the walls till the hit drywall Bogey used to chew the corner of one of our doorways that had a wood corner but rust is a new one. Very interesting and I hope someone comes along with a really brilliant answer.

| No idea if it is really dangerous. Iron oxide (found in some dog foods) is evidently another name for rust. Ellie licked bleach water the other day.
