| Hello...I am a first time Yorkie mommy! Hi, I just picked up my lil guy friday, he is just so darn adorable!! I was so happy to find a forum, have loads of questions..lol..all the reading and research I have done, before deciding on a yorkie, just went out the window, with the first concern on my lil guy..ugg!...my lil guy tonight had loose stools, just a bit, should I be concerned?? | Congratulations & Welcome to yorkietalk!! How old is your new little pup? I think some folks will have great advise for your concern. Are you feeding the same food that the original people were giving to him? Sometimes, if the food is changed to fast, they can have soft poo's...

| I agree with Lucyaboo, have you change the food? anyway congratulations on your new furbaby. Keep the eye on him make sure he is drinking enough water too

| Shay is 4 months old..I am feeding him the same food the breeder gave me to take home, Purina Pro plan for puppies. I am also giving him some forti -cal gel, that they gave me also.. |

| Forgot to ask you does the loose stools have any blood on it? or mucous? maybe let the breeder know just in case, have you take him to the vet yet? that is the first thing I did with my girls to activate their one year health contract from the breeder.

| He goes to the vet wed. morning...this just happened tonight, stool was soft not like usual and then a couple lil drops, no blood, that I could see, is eating well too, one thing you said was water...I did get one of those bottles that hang on her crate, yesterday, like the breeder had, he does use it, and am watching how much I put in it, so to see how much he is drinking. |

| welcome to YT! good luck at the vet on Wednesday. just make sure you keep an eye on the puppy to make sure he is ok. if you notice anything wrong with the puppy, take him to the vet sooner for sure.

| Thanks for all the welcomes and supports, I am so blessed to have found this forum, you guys are GREAT! First no soft stools this morning..whohooooo!!!!!! he is doing awesome had a lil bath this morning and he did amazing, just stood there, and enjoyed it! My lil guys name is Shay, he is 4months old, and weighs 1.6 pounds and sooo darn adorable, I just cannot stand it! a wonderful lil personality, and goes potty on his pee pee pad, every time!!! okay I know, I am just so proud of him, I am going on and on...lol... will post on how he does at the Vets on wed. thanks for everything!!! |
