Donating YT 500 Club Member | IDK brand names but any styptic powder should work the same. You could find some in any mens shaving supply section. I've even taken a styptic pencil and crushed it, to make a powder.

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | The vet told me you can even use flour. When I was doing Tias nails and cut the quick (which I panicked about) hubby came in from work and thought I was baking a cake lol. There was flour everywhere! He was kinda upset when I said no cake just a bleeding yorkie.

| Wow, now that's one I never heard. That is really interesting. Is it the pressure of the nail in there or is it something in the soap itself?

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | when you press the nail into the soap some of the soap gets stuck on the end of the nail clogging the quick so it can't bleed anymore. quick stop and styptic powder are better but just in case you don't have those things, flour and soap work as well
