Question about CLIMBING HIGH up on you? All TJ wanted to do this morning was climb high on me and stay on my shoulder, being held of course. What does that mean? Was he really scared or in pain? He never did that before...

Was he shaking or anything? Drake does that all the time, but I think it's because it makes him feel safe....not sure! Your babies are adorable, by the way!

TJ only did wanted to do this climbing this morning and it was for the last 10 mins that I was home before work. He wasn't feeling good this morning, so I think he got scared or he was in some discomfort of pain. I can't wait for the day to be over, so I can get home to him. It broke my heart when I had to leave him like that...

While it is a resting place for our puppies, I was told that where they rest is significant in dog language. The closer they get to your head/shoulder is a sign in their minds that they are your equal. In dog language the leader of the pack is in a "higher" or "elevated" position. So when your puppy sleeps on your pillow or rests on your shoulder, it is competing with you for leader (maybe not competing, if you are ok with allowing your sweetie to be the leader) or is letting you know that he/she feels they are equal in stature in your relationship.

Actually, I just remembered that TJ does this when we are at the Vet office. He is scared of the Vet now and he always climbs up me and onto my shoulder trying to get into my shirt, basicly looking for me to protect him. So, I think for whatever reason, maybe b/c he IBD was acting up this morning and he was hurting inside that he wanted me to protect him.

Gwen does that too my hubby everytime he sits down. I think she just loves him so much that she wants to be as close as possible.

| Chelsey always wants to hang on my shoulder, it relaxes her i think because she falls asleep hanging in that position while i hold her ofcourse, i dont mind the body language if that has a meaning, i know BOTH my girls own me lol - though i have to add, they both have good manners, i dont know where they learned them, but i do get a lot of compliments about their "good manners"
