| i wouldn't try to bring my baby into the theater. but i think that the drive in is a great alternative. you still get to go out, watch the movie, and no one cares if you bring your pal!

| I have 2 yorkies, one I can take anywhere and nobody knows she's there. Then you got the yapper--she can't ride along anywhere you'd need to sneak her bc she barks. I have taken my one girl to the mall, and into a restaurant. We travel and sometimes its too hot to leave her in the car. I think as long as they are well behaved and don't get scared, go for it. They behave better then most people's kids-and lets face it, most are also cleaner, lol!!!!! |

| My boyfriend and I have even taken Kaia and Riker to our doctors appointments, dinners, picking out our new house and even grocery shopping. I have a carrier for Kaia that looks more like a purse and Shawn carries Riker in a brief case looking carrier. They're both puppies and love the car rides and the trips. We pack a little baggie of their food and have a little travel bottle of water for them so they don't freak out when they smell people food.

| I don't know about taking Scooter to the movie theater with me but he goes almost everywhere else with me. Austin is very dog friendly and he goes regularly with me to resturants. We always sit on the patio and sometimes wait staff even bring him his own water. I love having him go. He learned at an early age how to act when we are out. I agree with others that it is a personal decision on where to take them and when to leave them at home. Scooter loves our adventures around town.

Update: Davey and I went to the movies and had A GREAT TIME! I guess it really does depend on the dogs temperament. Davey is not yappy at all. He is very calm and loves to cuddle. He slept through the entire thing. He wasn't scared or nervous. But if he would have showed any signs of nervousness, I would have just taken him home. I think that Davey would prefer to be in my arms then home alone . | |

| Teddi has gone to the movies with me several times. I put her in my hoodie and bring her in. She just falls asleep in the movie on my lap or on my chest.

| I think it's kinda rude to take your dog to a movie. I mean... even if they're quiet, it's just kinda... not a place for a dog. I think it's JUST as rude when people take a young baby (newborns) into a movie theater (which I've seen one too many times...) I think it's rude, lol. Or bringing a toddler into a PG-13 movie or something and they're all loud and nobody can enjoy the movie. I guess it all depends on the dog but *shrugs* I just don't think it's a place for a dog to be.

| The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | I take my Yorkie everywhere that I go. Max was and now Misty is very quiet. She keeps an eye on everything and keeps me calm. See Misty is a Service Dog. I suffer from acute anxiety along with a few other mental problems. Having my dog with me allows me to actually go into Wal-Mart and shop rather than have to depend on others to do it for me. I don't think that I would take her to the movies since they are usually noisy and crowded. The crowds bother me. So you see ChiliDawg, sometimes having a pet with you is actually ok.
