| Changing Colour Mika is nearly 8 mths old and he has a silver blue/grey stripe down the centre of his back. I was hoping he would stay black but its not to be, even his ginger paws/legs are lighter. What age did you notice your baby changing colour?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I noticed it on their heads pretty early on...their backs began around the same time as yours. It can take up to 3 years for their coloring to fully come in. Reese is almost three and he is still changing.

| Mt Teddy went silver by the end of his first year and by the end of his second year was back to black again! Now sometimes I wonder if he will turn silver again one day! LOL

Donating YT 30K Club Member | 2 of mine are still all black and they are 4 and almost 2. My 3 1/2 year old in the past year has had some silver mingle in her coat.

| Don't Give Up My Teddy girl (She owned me back in the 90's) broke coat between 2 and 3. Went from black/ginger to beautiful gold blue and gray. It takes time...M. Darcy is a rich blue black with gold legs and silver breaking on his head. Interesting.....not knowing what you'll end up with

| Well Jemma is a Shorkie, 7 months but she looks like a darn color wheel. Her Mom, a Shih is white and Liver. Her Dad, Yorkie. Jemma was born with her Yorkie colors. The black started to grow on her back, then went to a white silver, now she has light brown coming through. So Jemma's end are back with growth of sliver, ending with this light brown. DUH, Now the roots are looking a silvery brown. A color wheel, ya think ??? Her face though will be very light I think Carol and Jemma |

| colours Dear "Tyler's Pet" your baby's face is soooooo cute. I don't think there IS any supposed to colour, beyond paying attention to AKC regulation. That's the pleasure in waiting to see what you get. I'll put a pic of my sweet Teddy girl in my profile album. She was a beautiful adult. Mr. Darcy's mom
