| Crazy Pup My yorkie gets so excited and hyper at night. He will start running circles around the house as fast as possible like a crazy man. He does it for like 5 minutes then he sits down and chills. Its so funny to watch him run. Does anyone else pup do this?? |

| Yes... this is what we call the "zoomies". You have to see when all 3 of mine do this at the same time. It is perfectly normal behavior. (and kind of funny) just watch out or they will run you over.

| How old is your dog? My dog used to do this. It is crazy how far he has come. I used to take him on 2-3 hours of constant running, playing, sniffing, etc at the park with other dogs and then he would come home and sprint around the house. Now he is almost always calm, quiet, and only does his sprints when he is playing with another dog. He is a year and a half. I expected him to be crazy for a few more years, but I think he was crazy because his old owner never exercised him and had him on a poor diet with a crazy house of kids. It was cute, but I'm glad he outgrew that behavior.

| Our two also do this, they run so fast that I have to make them stop because I am afraid they will run into something and hurt themselves .Although it is hilarious to watch . |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I think 'Yorkie Zoomies' should be the official name for this activity. Roxy did it at least once a day/night when she was really young. At the old age of 7 mo, she still does it but not as often. We love watching her do this. I am always amazed at how those little feet can sound like a heard of elephants running through the house. LOL

| YES the yorkie Zoomies > Suzi was always doing that , and boy was she fast! She go around the furniture, up and down the hallway at lightening speed. She does not do as much anymore , at 15 months old. However, she always becomes very excited/hyperactive whenever somebody comes over.
