| kandyman_5x Hi Everyone I'm a newby also and would like to ask if anyone can tell me why my yorkie (Quazie do ) is making this weezing trying to cough somthing up or out sound ? He is 8 (9 on halloween) years old I have heard this is normal Can anyone Help |

| Welcome to the YT family. What you are hearing could be Reverse Sneezing or Collapsed Trachea, both serious conditions, or something else completely. A trip to the Vet is in order to get an accurate diagnosis and treatment. Good luck and let us know what the Vet says. |

| Hi! Welcome! There is a thread a little lower on this page titles "Threads on coughs" Take a look there and see if that helps. If it's a persistent cough, I think perhaps a visit to the vet may be in order.

| hi, mine does that too, like she cant catch her breath, a woman who shows yorkies told me that all small dogs have this and it is the flap in the back of their mouth falls over the opening and they panic and gasp- she said its normal, what did you find out-candy |

| me too mine does too, a woman who shows yorkies said that it is normal for little breeds, the flap in the back of their throat closes and they gasp, nothing serious- is this what you found out too?? curious- candy |
