Questions again I posted the other day about Graff and looking for another yorkie. I do have a couple of questions. How do you guess at how big they will get? I know that sounds stupid, I really dont want a really really small one but would rather I didnt have a really big one either. Of course I will love and cherish her/him no matter what size they are. Also all of the puppy pictures I have seen their ears are not standing. How do you get them to do that? Graffs ears don't stand but the vet thinks that the trauma of the beating that he took probably made them go down or maybe that they never stood. I feel really stupid asking these questions. Any suggestions from anyone on how to pick a puppy once I have found some to look at. I do have a couple of leads but nothing definite yet. What is hurting me is that I don't drive very long distances and due to my hubbys health he can't either. But I do have a couple of leads that are not too far from me and will continue to look.

Take a look at the Yorkie Coats, Colors, and Puppy Growth Chart Thread, the weights by week are very accurate. There is a lot of good information to be had if you just study that one thread. All the answers are right there. Sue

I think you will pick your puppy much the same as we did. He looked at us and just made our hearts melt. You will know when you look into his or her face and fall in love. It will not matter what color or size they will become because you will love it to death anyway. Until you feel that, you should not get one. There is alot of work to a yorkie puppy and as long as you are in love you will have the patience to take care of it.

I fully agree. The right puppy will pick me I am sure. And it really doesn't matter what size at all the more I think about it. I just know that Graff plays kind of rough and I would always be afraid that a tiny one would get hurt or stepped on. My new baby will be just a member of the family. She or he will not be used for breeding or showing so nothing really matters much except being healthy.
