| ![]() I would guess Yorkie mixed with dachshund too as I have both, just not mixed together! If the lady said she did not intend to breed her female and the male "caught her before she knew she was in heat" then there is a good possibility that another dog may have gotten to her too. Dogs can actually get pregnant by more than one male during their heat. Might explain why some of the puppies looked like Yorkies and this one does not. She could also be the daughter of the two parents you saw too. Some people breed dogs that should not be bred. They may look a lot like a Yorkie but somewhere in their background there was a mixed breeding. Eventually puppies will be born that throw-back to that mixed breeding and look different that the parents. I hope you paid no more than a mixed dog price. If she cost more than $100-$200 I would be back at the breeders to get some resolution. Remember the vet will write whatever breed you tell them. I had a pound puppy once and they always wrote Australian Shepherd because that was the vet's best guess as to at least one of the gene donors. So, that does not mean anything. You definately do not have a full Yorkie there. But I can tell you what she is guaranteed to be ..... and that is CUTE AS A BUTTON!

| ![]() I'm confused!!! Is this the little girl that everyone is saying has chihuahua or daschund in her?? This girl looks all yorkie to me, just on the bigger side....What makes everyone even think chihuahua? She has a cute, thick fluffy yorkie coat....not at all short like the other two breeds....Her face looks all Yorkie, her body just look a little taller than it should be....I vote all Yorkie!! |
