I feel guilty So I might be writing this because it's that hormonal time of the month but here goes :p Last night I actually slept on the couch with Marley and not my DH. I don't think he minds when that happens but I don't want to make a habit out of it. I just couldn't help it. I got up to put her to bed and went to the bedroom, then realized that I forgot something in the other room where I make her sleep. As soon as I walked back in she perked up and looked at me like " See! I knew you wouldn't leave me here by myself!" The longer I have her, the more I find myself sitting at work wanting to go home to be with her. Maybe I have issues LoL. I felt guilty this morning though when my DH came into the living room and looked at me and Marley. She was all curled up by my stomach and just looked up at him. He didn't say anything though. Do any of you ever sleep with your furbaby as opposed to you significant other? |
Well, DH and Maddy and I all sleep in bed together. Maddy sleeps at my feet and stays there through out the night. DH doesn't love it, but he is ok with it. |

Well Stormy either sleeps on my pillow in bed, but most nights lately, she sleeps on hubby's chest. I hate to admit it but I am a little bit jealous! haha He will give her the BEST ever massages on her belly and feet. It's been days since I've had one, as I am typing this thats where she is sleeping. I told him today he gives the dogs more attention then me lately!:p |
Couver sleeps with us at night... I could not imagine having to choose :p |
Bella sleeps in the bed with my husband and I. At first he wasnt crazy about her even being on the bed, but he was the one to start and put her up there with us and then that led to her sleeping with us. At night when we are all going to bed, he always tells her..come on lets go get i the bed and she follows him up the stairs and turns so that he can pick her up and put her in the bed....its so cute. He has really become attached to her and she just LOVES him! He also calls her pumpkin;) I love it |
Missy sleeps right beside my face. Dh and I wouldn't have it any other way. All of our dogs have always slept with us. Even our Rottweiler/Lab Cross did :) |
Mine have always let me sleep in their bed with them. It's tough, but the 5 I have now manage to make room for me. |
We all sleep together. |
I'm single, but my future significant other better not have a problem with Jackson sleeping with me! ;) My family has always let their dogs sleep in their bed, even the Golden Retrievers and bigger dogs. My parents did, my grandparents did, my aunt does (and she has a pit bull and husky!) |
Awwwww I hope he gives in. Buddy has slept with me for 5yrs until recently . He started using the bed as a trampoline at night so now he sleeps next to me. It probably won't be long until he's back in again.:p Ask him if she can sleep on top of the cover's. I don't like Buddy on the sheets but on top is fine. I know how you must feel. Keep sleeping with her, if hubby get's loney maybe he'll give in. |

DH, Sophie and I all sleep together. Cats would join us if they could, but then we'd have a circus going on all night as Sophie chases the cats. DH doesn't mind one bit that she sleeps w/us and often is right between us. A big T-strom blew through overnight last night and one of the lightening strikes came with a loud CRACK! Sophie was sleeping between us at around chest height. All three of us jumped, but both DH and I reached out to Sophie to comfort her. He loves her to death too! :) |
Both girls are on the bed with us! My boyfriend was the first one to cave when Rory was a puppy and let her out of crate and on to the bed with us. :p |

We all sleep together most of the time but there are those nights when I just want it to be me and her so I will go get on the couch and of course she follows...DH was NOT going to let her sleep in the bed when I first brought her home but she took a stand and said this is where I'm going to be and if you don't like it I will eat your arm off if you try to move me so he just gave up...the one thing that bothers him now is that she sleeps under the covers and he is always afraid he is going to accidentally kick her and hurt her... |

I am not married> My little Suzi is always with me, always! I have been ill the last couple days . Sure enouh, Suzi has been right there with me. I'd be on the couch, she will be there, i'll go on my bed, she's there.Suzi does not leave my side when I am sick! My teenaged son asks me to have Suzi sleep in his bed. I always tell him NO. Because when Suzi visits him in his room, she come out running full speed to me! Jumps all over me, attacking me playfully. As if she has not seen me is years:p |
"The longer I have her, the more I find myself sitting at work wanting to go home to be with her". I know this feeling aaaaall too well. I would dread closing the door to the house, and going to work. At work I had pictures of the 3 furbabies to comfort me. ;) I was recently laid off... while it is scary it feel soooo nice to be home with the furbabies and my son. :) Good luck with sharing the bed with your furbaby:thumbup: |
My DH sleeps in the spare bedroom together 39 years! It is a lifetime!!! All mine sleep with me. DH is fine with it. |
We did something similar when Allie was just getting used to living with us. She would wake up early in the morning and I would take her in the living room and sleep with her on the couch because she was so rowdy and my DH had work. He would just shake his head at us. Had to do this once with the bird before we got Allie when he burst a blood feather. Its amazing the nights we sleep on the couch for our babies. |
I've spent many a night on the couch due to kids, pets and hubby's snoring! |
Thanks everyone! Now I don't feel so bad for sleepin on the couch with my furbaby! |
One of the reasons we had this house built with two masters was there were to many dogs in bed with me..no room for DH!! :D |

Sad to say the hubby is not a fan of my Coco. I didn't realize how anit dog he would be. We have a cat too. I guess he has admitted he tolerates the cat because he keeps to himself. He sleeps on the bed but doesn't lick. Hubby CAN'T handle kisses and wet noes:mad: Coco was in a crate until the hubby went away for training for a new job. He was gone for 4 weeks only coming home on the weekends. Needless to say Coco's new routine became the bed beside me. Now I typically have Coco under one arm and the cat ( Jinx) under the other.;) |
I feel really stupid... but what does DH stand for? |
Dear Husband, Dumb Husband, D*ck Head........you get the picture. ;) |

To the OP...how long have you had your baby girl?? I'm just asking b/c it only took a few weeks for my hubby to fall head over heals in love with Snickers and in the middle of the night if Snick is snuggling by me, will pick him up to move him & cuddle with him!!!!! What a brat..but it melts my heart that my hubs loves him so very much. I can see how he will be with our future skin children;). Chances are if she is fairly new to the fam....just give him some time...he will fall in love soon and you can all sleep together or put a bed for her in your room. Good luck!!:) Snick & Viv |
