| New baby girl needs a name! Help me name this sweet baby girl. We have 2 yorkie males already, named Petey & Wally. I'm having a hard time finding a name for her. She'll be coming home with us in 2 weeks, and I can't wait!! She is very playful and rambuctious!! Kimberly |

| Congratulations!!! She is just precious! I always wait until I've had a chance to know mine for a couple of days before choosing a name. When I've tried to pick one sooner it wouldn't fit their personality & I'd wind up changing it. I'm sure you'll come up with just the right name!

| She is adorable!!! Here are some names that I considered. We like the names that end in a long e sound too! Chloe, Paisley, Remi, Demi, Hadley, Shaylee, Bailey, Briley, Riley, Sophie, Phoebe...I will keep thinking. Good luck!!! It took me forever and I settled on Zoë. I am hoping that it "fits" when I pick her up THIS WEEKEND!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!! |

| I heard that too!!! I did lots of searches on baby name sites. Some you can actually narrow down to 2 syllables and that is what I searched for! It seems like we always shorten it to a nickname that ends in the long e sound why not just start with that. EVERY single name I considered someone always said something that reminded me of someone else or suggested a nickname for it that I didn't like. I really wanted her to have a little petite girly girl name. I LOVE Sophie and Phoebe but I used those two names up on previous cats from ages ago. My husband said "you can still call her that" but I just couldn't. I also loved Chloe but found out that my sister in law (we don't speak) named her yorkie Chloe so that was out. I loved Scarlet but thought sure enough we would shorten it to "Scarlee??" Not very pretty. We also considered Vada from the movie My Girl 9hence my user name-everything was taken that I could think of for a user name!)and that may be on her registration papers...Miss Vada Zoë or Miss Zoë Grace...I think she is a Zoë. Good luck! Can't wait to see more pix of your baby girl and hear what you decide on a name!! |
