| ![]() We have two yorkies. We have a screened front porch and they would charge the door. We bought a baby gate that swings inward (it was for a set of stairs). My DH attached it to the door frame and now anyone can open the door and they can't get out. It is nice cause when we go grocery shopping, my DH hooks the screen door open and we put the groceries over the gate on the porch....then we come in and take them into the house. THe dogs have gotten very good, as they go to their bench (for looking out) instead of the door to see what is going on. I still don't completely trust them and will never get rid of that gate. |

| ![]() All wonderful suggestions, thank you. I have a long road ahead of me in this area as he shreaks like a maniac whenever I even go near the front door and he's in his x-pen or crate! It's funny because while he loves to run away, at the same time he has terrible separation anxiety and goes crazy at the first inkling that I may leave. So that's my first challenge...being able to go to the door while he's secure in his crate/x-pen AND calm. ![]() |
