| Introduction/new member Hello, I am new to this site. I am owned by a male yorkie that actually found me by the side of the road almost three years ago. I tried to find owner but with no success. This poor fella had been thru heck before I found him. The vet said he had been beat so bad that they had cracked his breast bone and he also has a leg that was broken at one time and allowed to heal on its own. So he doesnt use that leg much and actually has no feeling in the lower half. Needless to say he does not like alot of people especially men. Once he gets to know them he is okay with most people but he absolutely loves kids. This dog has stolen my heart and my husbands also. There is no amount of money I would take for him!!! Now I am seriously thinking that I would love to add another yorkie to our family. I would love a little girl to spoil but a boy would be great also. They are not that easy to find around here and when you do find them they are already spoken for. But I will keep searching. I ready every post on here everyday and am learning so very much. My husband is disabled with a heart condition and is now a stay at home dad. So when the right dog is found she or he will never be alone. |

| Welcome to YT. Isn't it amazing how these little furbabies steal our hearts. What a great thing you did rescuing this little yorkie. Post a picture when you can. And good luck in your search for another yorkie. I have a male yorkie and soon will be flying off to get a little female yorkie.

| Hello and welcome! Bless you for taking that baby in and giving him a home. I would ask the breeder if there is a health quarantee. I have a male and a female. I really like having one of both. My female is the cuddler. I love dressing her up since there is so many cute things for girls out there. Good luck.

| Wow I couldn't believe that my post had been answered already. My yorkies name is Graff. I know what a odd name but I let the kids pick it out and that is what they picked. My boys are 17 and 19. Thanks for the post about my husband. It could have been alot worse and we are thankful for every day that we have together and try to enjoy each other as much as possible. I have been reading up on yorkies and will definitely search for a breeder that offers a health guarantee. I almost feel like Graff rescued me instead of the other way around. I was having a really bad day that day and pulled off the side of the road to have a good cry and when I opened my car door he just appeared and jumped in the car and set down like well lets go what are you waiting on. And I really feel like he gives my husband a purpose every day as he is the one that feeds him and takes him outside. So he has been a lifesaver for both of us. If there are any breeders in Indiana that will have puppies or young adults I would love to hear from you. My next baby will be just as loved as the one I already have and will be spoiled beyond belief. |
