Taylor they can only be AKC if they are sold with breeding rights. People do not understand all the ins and out of AKC and registering. Truthfully, AKC doesn't mean squat because it does not mean that you are getting a healthy dog. The AKC is only as honest as the person registering the dogs. If they lie about the parents and claim a different parent that is AKC as the sire or dam it really means nothing.

I think my Dude is pretty cute and he's a Morkie. But I don't try passing him off as a designer dog. Just be safe and have them both fixed so there are no accidents.

It's harder to fake then the others though. I know it doesn't mean healthy there are plenty of puppy mills with AKC dogs.

This is a friend of mine, NOT my dogs, both dogs had AKC papers and both were registered with the AKC I helped in selecting the name for both the female and the male for the AKC registration.

all my yorkies were AKC, and registered. To me it's just a piece of paper. I LOVE the breed, I got my dogs to be pets, not to show, not to breed, but to love and enjoy them.
