| I need help with grooming my yorki-poo We have a wonderful 3 year old Yorkie-Poo. He is the best little guy but my problem is that is hair is straight with a slight wave to it. When his hair gets wet or even damp it's like a tangled mess of cotton yarn. We live in a rural area and so far I haven't found a decent groomer. And I've tried numerous ones. We don't mind doing the grooming ourselves but I'm trying to find the best shampoo and conditioner that would make his hair easy to comb through after we bathe him. Last time it took my husband three days to detangle the his hair. And this little guy just sat there for hours without a complaint. Any advise you readers can give me would be appreciated. Thanks |

| I'm sorry that I don't have any suggestions for shampoo and conditioner! I was just wondering, do you brush your baby on a normal basis? Because if you keep up with brushing him maybe his coat won't be as tangled when you go to groom him! Owen hates to be brushed, but I do it anyhow haha. Usually I use a couple puppy wipes and it gets his coat damp and then brush him. Hope you are enjoying the beautiful day! -Britt

| One of my babies has a cottony coat which tangles more easily than the silky. Minksheen shampoo has helped so much that I don't even need to brush her every day now so that if I get too busy and don't have time, it's no big deal. You can order it on-line and a YT member AMD sells it too. |

| Thanks Britt, I do try to comb him every day. One of the groomers that dematted him told me to use a comb instead of a brush because the comb would go alot deeper ghrough his hair. I think my best bet would be to keep his hair shorter. Ann |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Have you thought about keeping him in a puppy cut? Much less work for cotton coats. When Joey was a puppy his coat tangled, and I found that Cowboy Magic detangler took out any mats easily.

| Thank you for the information. I will give the Pantene Ice Shine a try. I find if his hair gets wet it tangles more. Maybe with the right conditioner it'll help. Ann |
