Yeah, the way you posted initially really had me thinking some bad thoughts towards you!

So, are you thinking about rescuing a dog like this? Is that what you mean?

OMG, thank you for clarifying. I did everything that I could to keep from having my puppy use a wheelchair. To voluntary to, sorry it's really been a long week.

Okay I am a Mom of a pup that was in a wheelchair (as you can tell from my Avatar). I for one would say research this well before thinking about taking on a disabled pup. If you want to do it just because you think they are cute please think twice. These little ones are very stressful. My little guy Babybear broke his neck do to a congenital defect. He was paralyzed for a very long time. I had to teach him how to walk all over again. He learned for starters in a wheelchair. That was for 2+ years. Then he went to a sling and is now almost 3 years later walking on his own. Not the best but he is still walking.
I have put a lot of time and energy in to Babybear and most here can attest to that. Many on YT and other groups have followed Babybear's story and they will tell you that I have moved heaven and earth to get him where he is today. This means water therapy once to twice a week. Acupuncture. I also did physical therapy on him,pressure point therapy on him and worked with him all the time. He has changed my life in a very big way. They do not just take up your time training them and getting them better but the cost behind it also and the Stress. It will be stressful not only on your relationship with you pets but your family also.
You can check out some of what I have done with Babybear on his dogster page Dog profile for Wheelie Boy Babybear® , a male Yorkshire Terrier .. I have video of training him how to use his wheelchair. I also have video of me training him how to walk in a sling. Now he is walking on his own. He was paralyzed for almost 3 years. He does not walk like a normal dog but he walks all the same. And I am hoping that some day he will not end up back in this wheelchair again but there is always that possibility it will happen.
Here is a web site that adopts out pets with Disabilities. Please don't get one of these special pups because they look cute in a wheelchair. Do it because you want to give it your time and love and dedication. Because that is what it takes to take care of one of these babies. Adopt at PWD

lol, well actually I know a couple who are moving to Paris and cant take their "special" yorkie with them. they're soo, soooo sad

, but i was considering adopting theirs so they know their baby is in good hands. i just want to see if im ready for this commitment, and, more importantly, if my own baby is ready for a new, and different pay pal. thanks for all your helps!!!!

I was thinking the same thing. That would be alot of work.
But, if you are thinking about adopting that one, you obviously have been around it and know somewhat what you are getting into.
Could you maybe dogsit it for a few days and be sure you want to make such a HUGE commitment?

Well, it was a very, very tough decision, but i decided to go with the surgery. My Yorkie now has a new set of hot wheels!

still really messed up from the meds, im sure he's loving every minute of it!

I am sorry but you have gotten me totally confused here. What do you mean he got surgery? Has a new set of wheels? Messed up on the meds? I think you are trying to get a lot of emotions running here because you know how we feel about our babies! There surely isn't a vet out there who would actually do surgery on your dog when it is not needed just to get a set of "hot wheels". I am sorry if I am over re-acting or don't know the whole story, I have been keeping up with this thread, it's just weird

I really think it's someone who is just trolling, someone who thinks it's funny to post random things that might upset some people if they were true.

I think we're dealing with a troller. You know, someone who registers on a forum and then sees how much trouble they can cause. I've seen it with the antique outboard forum, the wooden boat forum, even the garden equipment forum. If there's a vet out there who would deliberately take a dogs legs off so they can have a set of hot wheels, they should be in a horror movie. I mean, come on!

Yes has to be a troll. Because I know they would not get "hot little wheels" in days. It takes weeks sometimes months. So find some other place to troll around. We don't need it here.
