| ![]() One thing you might want to consider.... Is your baby going to sleep in YOUR bed at night?? or in a crate? If it will be sleeping in a crate at night, I would use a crate (with the door open) inside of the x-pen instead of a bed. Your baby will use the crate as his private little safe haven. I used a crate inside the xpen with my two puppies as they were growing and it made it really easy to just cover the crate at night for sleeping.

i also have a high bed, and milu sleeps with me, but i REALLY recommend NOT doing so. it's a bad idea. too dangerous. i should have never let her start sleeping on the bed. but now it's hard to break the habit. | |

| ![]() I didn't think a crate was needed, even if he is not sleeping with me..I thought a little doggie bed would be okay..Posted above, a crate was suggested so he would have private safe haven to go to..I guess that is what is confusing me.

| ![]() well, you don't NEED a crate. a doggie bed inside the pen should be fine. but it is not a bad idea either if you get them used to crates. because there are times they will need to be caged. like going to the vet, going to the groomers, boarding, ...etc. so if they are used to being in a crate, it will not be as stressful for them when they have to be caged for whatever reason. |
