| marking Ok so we have established that Bentley hikes his leg on people to show dominance. I'm not sure how we are going to break him of this. My question is when we get the girl in a few MONTHS....haha just playing Kelz....In a few weeks will he begin to hike his leg on the furniture around the house? He doesn't do it now but he is the only dog in the house. any thoughts? |

| I would suggest using a belly band on him for awhile until this behavior stops. Good luck

| But will the presence of another dog in the house cause him to become territorial in the house? Even if the other dog is a girl? |

| Is he neutered. I have a female and male and they are both Neuter/spay and my male does not lift his leg or mark.

I Love Thor Donating Member | Is Bentely neutered? The only thing that I could say that might help is that, if you are going to get it done. I think that it is FINALLY helping Thor's marking issues. Good luck! |

| I thank my lucky stars that Gus only marks outside. And not on people just the trees walls and grass. He once marked on my tire after just detailing my van. Boy I was so mad. Luckly I was there to view it and clapped my hands and told him NO!, Picked him up and took him to the grass. He hasn't done it again since then. He knows not to mark in the grage too. He was peeing on my husbands tools there for a while, hehehehehe. But we put a stop to that as well.

| I would think that getting another dog, would make it worse. Bailey has only done it2x since being fixed, and it was a my moms house,, she has a cat and my friends house and she has a dog. Yet ,he never did it in his own house, before or after being fixed. ( and I have a cat, but he ALWAYS dominates him.)
