| How often do puppies sleep? Mine sleeps every hour and a half for about 30 mins...is that normal or too less or too much ? |

| hi, depending on the age it is absolutely normal, if she is a puppy consider her a baby, babies sleep alot....a puppy needs to rest and not get overly tired. its best to limit the play time, like running to short amounts of time. They can sometimes even get low blood sugar and that can be dangerous. I suggest reading about hypoglycemia in puppies so you will know the symptoms. hope this answers your question. always remember a puppy = a baby..

| i think i read somewhere that puppies slept up to 90% of the day!!! i know when mine were babies, they would get the zoomies, run around for a bit and then pass out and take a long nap LOL

| thanks for replies..like previous reply mine does the same he runs around as if there is no tomorrow...then gets tired and sleeps...yes i read about the low sugar situation.. also i have him in a play pen where he can see all of us...he cries and lightly barks at us indicating he wants to come out of the pen and play around..i think i should resist the temptation and not allow it to come out... |

| Avoid eye to eye contact with him if you don't plan to take him out of the pen.
