| A nine week old puppy should be eating about 4 times a day. I always free feed mine so they can eat anytime they want. What are your feeding him? When he barks is he barking at you or is there something in the house that is scaring him? Nine week old puppies bark a lot when they are playing or wanting attention, is he trying to play? |

| Congrats on the new baby, he is just probably missing his family, it took Lexie a few days to realize her new home was going to be okidoky . To get him to feel his crate is ok, leave it open and close to you when you are typing or watching tv, put a few toys in it or even a treat, so he starts to get the idea that the crate is not a bad thing. Good luck.

| Congrats on your new babyboy...we went through the same thing when Snickers came home. You mentioned he cries and barks when he is in his crate, when you put him in there, be sure you're around, don't leave him too long alone just yet since he is so young. Also, if he is in his crate at night, put the crate in your room so he is by you and feels safe. Put a blanket in there or one of your t-shirts that smells like you. He will come around.

| Yes i agree...9 weeks is very young to have left mummy ![]() Pixie was much older at 14 weeks and never cried once..not even at night! she was very very bold and couldn't wait to explore her new surroundings! Just give your baby lots of cuddles and reassurance...he will soon settle in..a few more days and he will look like he has always lived with you.

| Hold him in your arms, let him feel your heart beat and talk softly to him telling him how much you love him, and let him fall asleep there. All babies are alike. Lila & Mia |

| All pups are different. I got Mika at 8wks old and he cried a little on his 1st night. I had his crate at the side of my bed and cuddled him until he fell a sleep then I put him back into his crate and we never looked back from that night. Mika is very vocal now with his toys and if he hears a strange noise outside. I think a visit to the vet may help to ease your mind.
