| Hair on ears... When I bought my yorkie, the breeder shaved his ears before he came home with me. That was at least a month ago (perhaps a little longer). Shouldn't his hair be growing long on the ears or does that come later when he gets a little older? |

| It takes it a bit but from what I was told you should keep the top 3rd of the ear short . |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Were you showing your yorkie the ears are kept shaved and the edges trimmed. Some pet owners prefer to let it grow. At this age you need to keep the weight off the ears until they stand erect....adding the hair pulls them back down.

| No, I'm not showing him. I would just prefer to have his hair long. And his ears having been standing for awhile now so I'm not worried about keeping them shaved. I just want the hair on them to grow out ): Just want to make sure it's going to. He's 5 months on May 24. |
