| My Laya likes to hide. She only comes out when she want to or if I say the word treat. She is always finding new spots to cozy up in.

| They sometimes like to get away. I would get him a little travel crate that he can come in and out of. It will be like a little den to him

| My Chloe was fascinated with being under the sofa for a couple of months. She would just go under there and do nothing. No toys or chewing or anything. Then just as abruptly she stopped. Hasn't gone under there for a month. Just being a Yorkie I guess. |

| One of mine loves going under my bed. Each morning when I get ready they both come into my room and one wants on top of my bed and the other is under the bed. He really doesn't do anything under there, I tried to put him on the bed but he just whines until I let him down and then he goes straight under the bed.

| Chloe doesn't go under my moms bed.. but has some kind of facination with standing under the edge of the bed (where the comforter hangs down) and walking back and fourth under the comforter so that its rubbing along her back. I guess its like a back rub kind of thing.. silly creature!

| YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Is it possible he is having seizures there? I don't want to scare you, but I knew of a dog that would do this and it turned out she was having seizures when she would hide under the sofa or bed for awhile.

| Gizmo loooves hiding under the couch too! All of a sudden it gets really quite and I'm like, where's Gizmo? Under the couch again! And he won't come out unless I bribe him! He just doesn't hide under there though, he tears up the underside of the couch so there's all these little fuzzy balls everywhere!

| I was about to post this exact same topic, so now I feel better hearing that other Yorkies "hide" under the couch. My 1 year old Yorkie just started doing this as well a couple weeks ago. Typically he just lays there, but sometimes he 'cries' when he's under there, but I can't figure out why. The only way I can get him to come out is to bribe him with a treat, and then sometimes he goes right back under. Hopefully he will outgrow this... |

| He's up to something! I would check his anal glands. Sometimes full glands or gas can cause them to hide.

| That Is so funny..My Dax is the same way with one particular toy. I call it the "girlfriend" lol...He has regular "relations" with her...We joke and say Dax is really rough with his woman lol because he throws it around shaking and biting it. Its so funny afterwards he gets this glazed look in his eyes...We say he's basking in the afterglow...Lol. I had no idea neutered dogs did this....I jokingly say my dog gets more action than I do..Lol. |

| Reesie goes under the bed if she gets hurts in the slightest bit and won't come out for an hour or two. We're careful not to do anything that might hurt her but sometimes when we pick her up she squeaks and then hides. Must be a sensitive spot on her chest but nothing we can see. She's pretty much stopped going into her crate now that her LP surgery is 3 months past, but she would disappear in there, too. |
