| How Long Do You Walk Your Yorkies? Just wondering how long everyone walks their yorkies?...I'm doing about 20-25 minutes twice a day, when I don't have to work late, and once a day, when I get off earlier...As it gets warmer, down here in S.E.Texas, I'm not sure we'll be able to do that...I used to love the summer, but now I have Apple, I'll probably be looking for the cooler weather sooner than later... | We walk ours approximately 45 minutes every morning and then sometimes again in the afternoon. When it gets too hot we don't walk them as its hard on their feet and just too hot for them |

| We go out for several short walks throughout the day. I also take him to the dog park so he can get all of his energy out about 5 times a week.

| we do 20-40 mintues depending on what time we get home, although summer has already hit us (tomorrow will be 107) so when its this hot we have to wait until much later, around 9pm, and we usally do shorter walks then. it doesn't really cool off at nights here so summers are more difficult for walks.

| It all depends on weather, etc. He gets walked usually between 15-40 minutes a day on a leash but he's outside A LOT in the fence running around. I take him to my dad's house at least 3-4 times a week and he has two dogs over there so the three of them run all over the place like crazy playing and getting all their energy out! Also, usually every other weekend, I will take him to my little cousin's little league baseball games and he gets a good walk plus being outside for a good 2-3 hours. He LOVES it and gets real worn out!

| Depending on the weather, 45-60 minutes twice a day. As summer approaches, we go earlier in the AM and later in the PM to avoid the heat. I plan on taking them to Petsmart in inclement weather when I get my car out of the shop.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If it's a little warm, we'll do 15-20 mins, but a normal dog walk for us is 30 minutes.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Thor needs to play fetch or some other vigorous activity for about an hour every day. Walking seems to make no difference in his energy level. I've taken him out for two hour walks and he still begs me to play when we get back.

| I try for 45 minutes twice a day with longer outings on the weekends if the weather is nice. We've done seven+ mile expeditions sometimes-- Penny has so much energy that it is hard to tire her out.

| I take my girls out for walks 3 to 4 times a day with 1 of them being about 15 mins and the others more like 20+. At least 1 to 2 of the times we go to an open field where they're all off leash, running around or just walking with me. I improvise depending on the weather but still try to get them out for fresh air no matter what at least 2 to 3 times a day..

| That sounds like Molly. After our 2 hour walk, i slump into the chair, and she goes and empties out her toy box ready to play! |

| I'm with Quicksilver. Walks do nothing for Mia. We need to play fetch for 60 minutes a day, to wear her out. I was doing two 30-40 minute walks a day, and she would want to play right when we got home. She is only 1 1/2 and has so much puppy energy. Since it is warm here we have been swimming twice a day for about 45 minutes. She only swims for about 20 minutes of that. We have a long long pool and I am trying to teach her how to find the steps, and get out on her own. She could play all day, all night. |
