Things your dog has done that you will never forgot: Hmmmmm, Taco when he forced himself to be part of the family, Precious I will never forget how she acted the day I picked her up after being spayed. Taz I will never forget the time we took him to therapy at an elderly home and how everyone was fighting over holding him and he just sat there looking all "mommy save me!"

How did you get your dog: All rescues

Good around children: There good around children but prefer not be as they don't really like being squeezed to death LOL

Funny things that your dog does to make you laugh: When she shakes her head with her skinneys raccon doll in her mouth. When she runs like a crazy little girl in the living room. When she knows she did something wrong and I look at her, she will stoop her head down and look up and give those innocent puppy eyes lol! When she sleeps so cutely and looks like a angel =).. so much to list lol

Things your dog has done that you will never forgot: When she jumped off my high high bed and hit the floor. OMG!!! She was ok though (Thank God)

How did you get your dog:Breeder and it was love at first sight =D hehe

Is your dog good around other dogs: yes loves to make friends, too friendly, So friendly up to the point where she will try to friend a dog 10 times her size(which gives me a heart attack)

Good around children: of course, loves them!

How was the first day like with your dog: it was like bringing home a newborn baby. i was so careful and she got sooo spoiled by everyone! It was such a warm feeling. Can't live without my baby now! =D

How did you get your dog: I found him on Craigslist from a lady who had purchased him from a breeder. She ended up having her grandkids move in with her, ages 9 months, 2 and 5. She thought that the kids were too rough with him, so she wanted to find him a new home. She posted the ad, and I called right away to come meet him. I met him that night, and fell in love. He was almost 5 months old. I could not be happier with my decision.

Is your dog good around other dogs: Oh yes. He is the best with other dogs. One lady at the dog park said she had changed her opinion about small dogs because of Couver. I thought that was a wonderful compliment

Good around children: Yes, but he does not like to be picked up and cuddled by them.

How was the first day like with your dog: I got him around 5:00 in the evening, so I took him home to DH. DH was not too happy. He did not want him, but the very next day, he changed his mind He is now as much in love with him as his Mommy is

Funny things that your dog does to make you laugh: Discipline the kitties. Holly will not get off my bed in the morning until I tell her to get "off".

Things your dog has done that you will never forgot: Gracie's bilateral LP surgery was a hard time for us both but brought us all the closer together. How Holly is a Houdini, can get out of anything!

How did you get your dog: Both from breeders

Is your dog good around other dogs: They love most other dogs, except aggressive ones. Gracie got attacked by a Chi when she was a puppy and I don't think she has gotten over that. She is friendly but cautious.

Good around children: They both love children, but Gracie is especially submissive and sweet around them. Her breeder had small children so that might account for her behavior around small children.

How was the first day like with your dog: Gracie: I was like any first time mom. Feeling totally inadequate with that sweet little face looking at me for guidance. I doted, I stressed about how much she ate, how much she drank, potty training, and held her constantly.

Holly was number two, much easier. I stressed about easing her transition, and helping Gracie to learn to love her. They had separate ex-pens, separate everything for 3-4 months until I caught them sleeping together, then it was share and share alike. Thank goodness because I could not keep Holly contained, still can't.

Color: He is kind of black with a silver shine and he has a bit of white/silver on his head and some tan/gold on his face and chest.
Neutered/spayed: He is not neutered, I am afraid to get him the surgery.

Favorites:

Favorite toys: He loves the rainbow fish I got him for his bday this year, a purple squeaky dinosaur I got him last year for his bday, and a TY bowwow beanie-- patty the platypus-- I got him for Christmas last year.

Favorite treats: Caninie Carry-outs in bacon, pizza or beef. I swear, this stuff is like crack for him.

Favorite walks: When we walk he's not happy unless we pass a certain tree in the neighborhood. He pulls and cries if we go the opposite way because he just has to mark that tree. He also loves to walk through flowers, he stops and sniffs them.

Favorite places: Anywhere that I am. Seriously. When I am home he never leaves my side. Mom says he chills near my laundry when I'm not home.

Favorite bones: He loves rawhide bones... but I won't let him have them because they make him violent with my mom's dog... and Emmett is never ever violent unless he has those bones.

Favorite things to do: Well, he likes to cuddle with me and play fetch with his favorite toys. He also loves to sit with his toys until he finds the squeaker! He also loves to sit at the tub and make sure no animals are living under the house.

Funny things that your dog does to make you laugh: When he wants a treat he stands in front of me and does all the tricks he knows without me giving him a cue. He knows just how to get what he wants!

Things your dog has done that you will never forget: When he was a puppy and he ate his little back paws would lift off the floor while he was chowing down. His head would be in the bowl eating and the only support he'd have were his front two paws. It was so cute I wish he still did it. I don't even have a picture of when he'd do that but I will never ever forget it.

How did you get your dog: I found him through the news paper classifieds. I talked to about 4 different breeders before I found one I liked. The rest sounded like they were puppy mills. When the last lady I talked too mentioned that one of her dogs had mickey mouse ears I had to go see him because my previous yorkie's name was Mickey Mouse. I went to her home and we interviewed each other, LOL. I loved him from the moment I saw him and his HUGE bat like ears!

Is your dog good around other dogs: Yes, he can be a bit aggressive though when male dogs try to mark his territory. Other than that he is a real ladies man with the girl dogs.

Good around children: He loves children. When my little 2 yr old cousin comes over he cannot get enough of her. He also really loves strangers which is a habit I wish he didn't have... he'll go out of his way to meet new people.

How was the first day like with your dog: My first day with Emmett was fun!!! The first thing I did was take him to the pet store to let him pick out his new gear! Everyone was cooing over him and they all wanted to pet him. His ears were huge, like I said before, and one little kid came up and asked, "Can I pet your bat?" Poor Emmett, LOL. After the pet store I took him home and he was so sleepy. He took a little nap and I snapped a lot of pictures, LOL. That night when he was restless I made him chase me in circles around the house to tire him out. When it was time for bed I kept him in his crate (I would have slept with him but was afraid I'd squish him) right by my bed and left my fingers in there for him to smell. He did really well during the night and didnt cry at all. I loved him so much from day 1!

Is your dog good around other dogs: She is quite bossy, but has only met 1 family dog and her sister is with MIL.

Good around children: She adores babies, she just wants to fuss them and lick them. Older children we have to try.

How was the first day like with your dog: It was bliss, she was the first dog I held since my beloved Tink was PTS, she felt so over-whelmingly alive. I cried. Then she was just so gentle, considerate and responsive. It felt like she had always been here. We have loved her every minute; it is beyond emotional.

Funny things that your dog does to make you laugh:If you pretend to eat her toys she goes ballistic, puts her toy on your foot and pretends that you are playing with her- growls and everything, puts her bones and bully sticks in your hand so you will hold them for her while she chews.

Things your dog has done that you will never forget:I bought her an expensive baked dog treat-- $2.50. It looked like a cream sandwich cookie. When I gave it to her she just pushed it back, over and over. Once we got back to the office I tried to show my friend that she would push it away but this time she took it and put in the closet!

How did you get your dog: Tater was homeless, abandoned at a vet's office until I found him when he was 9 months old. CoCo is a puppy mill survivor, which I adopted from a rescue

Let me tell you about my babies. Misty is Max's mommy. I have had Misty and Max since they were born. We got Mikey about 2 months ago. When I got Mikey, he was a scared little baby and he was either neglected or abused. Now he is very much a member of the family. I also have an English Cocker Spaniel who is 13 yrs old. All four of the kids are a riot. I have a laundry hamper of toys that are usually all over the living room. These guys will eat anything except for the dog foods that are good for them like Science Diet, Eukanuba, or the like.

I'm still working with Mikey to try to get him use to a leash. Max, who has two broken front legs, is carried outside. Even though he cant use his front legs, he is really fast on his back legs. A friend of my actually called him a kangaroo.

Bed time is really rough. Thank goodness I have a queen size bed, cause they try to take over 3/4 of it. But when they snuggle, I know I am loved.

Funny things that your dog does to make you laugh: Crawls on her tummy; cocks her head at me when I'm acting silly; sleeps on my pillow (while I sleep pillow-less); eats every single piece of unhealthy kibble out of her bowl, leaving only the "good" stuff behind; drinks out of a bottle cap; smiles; digs into blankets, clothes, etc and sneezing from trying to inhale the item; and being adorable.

Things your dog has done that you will never forget: Get really sick (don't do that again, Meg!);

Things your dog is deathly afraid of: the sound of velcro

Is your dog good around other dogs: Amazingly good, although she usually has more energy than her older friends.

Good around children: Amazingly good! She loves babies, toddlers, and school-age children.

How was the first day like with your dog: Lots of cuddling and building a little "wall" for her so she would stay on the tiled area. Lots of worrying that she wasn't eating. Days #2-4 were a nightmare as she had severe hypoglycemia and had to spend two nights at the vet with an IV glucose drip. Thankfully she came back to us and has been healthy since.

I just posted some videos of Meg on my blog. She is so hilarious! I don't know what I'd do without her, even though right now she is going through the adolescent stage and regressing on a lot of her good training (urgh).
