| Rottweiler neighbour for the weekend.. Chloe is terrified Sorry for the rant. So for the long weekend someone has decided to park their camper on the lot next to our house and since they've got here I was wondering why Chloe would not stop following me around/not staying outside long enough to potty.. It wasn't until I saw the huge rottweiler that i realized why, and from what I can see he either isn't tied on or is on a VERY long leash. Don't get me wrong, I am loving all the extra snuggles from her.. but it pisses me off that she feels so unsafe on her own property. Then theres the option of us staying with family (they have already offered us to stay) but if the big guy isn't tied on, theres no way I'm bringing her outside, even if it is just from the house to the jeep.. i'm sure she looks like a dandy little snack to him.. grr! sorry guy I needed to vent.

| We do, but there are still a scattered dog roaming around town.. and the folks themselves seem fairly unapproachable... and they have apparently been drinking because now they are talking really loud and "woohoo"ing.

| Yes, I would not approach those people > especially if they been drinking and such, and with a rottie? No, it is best to stay on your own property, and sooner than later they will be gone. Hopefully these people are only staying there for the weekend Your poor little baby though. I'd be fearful too. She is intimadated. It is best to have her close to you, and know where she is at all times. I would nOT take any chances while those idiots are there . when people drink, and if they are doing it all day, chances are, it will lead to some problems later on> Better stay safe, and keep your animals safe too. I am just like that, though. As annoying and maddening as it is , as long as those dumb ass people are not coming onto your propperty harassing you or your family, propperty, than it is best to try and ignore their behavior, unless they become out of control, violent, or stupid . Some Rotties, however are awesome dogs, very beautiful. It depends on how they are raised and treated . I've seen the most amazing Rottie's before. But, the people you having to deal with , leave a lot to be desired.

| I have opted to stay inside for the night and bring Chloes potty tray in so that if she has to use it, its somewhere safe. Right now she is curled up beside me on the couch sleeping safe and soundly.

| ...and now there are two.. and they are definitely NOT tied on... so far they are just playing with each other on their own territory though, and hopefully it stays that way.
