Default What does your Yorkie KNOW?

What does your Yorkie KNOW for certain? As in something your Yorkie never forgets?

Yoda knows where his food and water is, where his toys are stored (hallroom closet), where he sleeps (Mommy and Daddy's bed, though I think he considers it his own), who to beg for food when they are eating (Mommy and Grandpa), the sound of Mommy's car and the garage door, and who will let them be licked by him (pretty much all close family members).

I'm sure there is tons of others, this is all I could think up for certain for now.

Eddie KNOWS that if he stares at me long enough, I will give in and take him for a walk or play with him.

Teddy also knows for certain where his food, water and toys are.
He also knows when I put on my shoes and pick up my keys that
means we are going bye bye. On the other hand he also just lately
has gotten very smart to the fact if I pick up his bone and put a
dab of peanut butter in it that means he has to stay home. I also
love that now when I pick up his brush and comb that he automatically
hops up onto my lap because he loves to be groomed. The most
important thing he knows though is that he has his Mom wrapped
around his paw and if he looks cute or pouts I will give him anything!

Simon knows that all of his bday presents are in the hallway closet They both know where there food is stored, where the treats are, and how to look at me with really sad eyes so I give in and do whatever they want (does that count) hehe!

Mine know how to SPELL ...I tried Pig Latin and they learned that too. I can't say ANYTHING important to them - like RIDE....WATER....HOSE....PLAY...BYE BYE ...Chanel is the biggest eavesdropper and picks up on conversations even when I think she isn't listening.

They KNOW where they hide all their stolen toys and treats too. It's like I have 2 little boosters that live to steal off each other.

Starsky know where food and water are, where toys are and where the special treats are in my kitchen. He'll just sit and bark for one. I have to ignore him sometimes, because I don't want him to think he'll get a treat whenever he barks for one. He would be 20lbs or more!!!!!!! He also knows where all the toilet paper rolls are in the house!!!!! He knows it's bye bye time when I take out his leash and harness. Yorkies are soooo smart!

this is funny!
Bailey knows.... what drawer the nail clippers and brush are in,,,, if it opens he is GONE!
He knows,, if I run water in the tub,,, to take off.
He knows,,, I come home from work and take a shower right away,,and then take him out,,he knows Im leaving and he goes right in his cage.
He knows the difference between the mailman coming to the door and anyone else,,(He doesnt even acknowledge the mailman)
He knows what closet has the SWEEPER in it,,and he is gone.
He knows which drawer has the trashbags in it,,and he gets in attack mode!
He knows to run as fast as you can ( when you've had an accident) away from wherever you've pooped,,, as if ,"I wasn't in there!"
I could go on forever,,,, but I'll stop.

Toto knows almost all those things already mentioned ... she also "knows" when it's almost time for Papa to be home from work!! It's kinda scary when I haven't noticed the time and I see her lying by the front door! I can look at the clock and sure enough it's about time! Sometimes she will take a few toys and have them ready because she knows when he walks in the door ... the fun begins!!!

Mac & Mellie know most the things mentioned above. They also know who's leash is who's and that means we are going for a walk. They know what closet the vacuum is in and run and hide. They also know the difference between my landscaper and my next door neighbors just by seeing the truck. They don't like theirs.

Lillie recognizes several words: Ride, treat, football, Mommy, Daddy. She knows that when I pick up my purse and my husband picks up his keys, she has to stay home alone for a little while.

I love this thread! Gus know's when I am mad at my husband and will bark at him if he tried to get next to me. I love that one! He knows the difference of me getting ready for the day and gettin ready to go somewhere. The moment I go for my keys, he runs in his doggy bag. He know's the H word "Hungry" No matter who I'm asking he come running! He know's when he's going to get a bath,,,,, I could be washing dishes and he's right there at my feet. But if I reach down to get his shampoo, he takes off and hides. The same thing with his clothing. I have all his clothes in a duffle bag and he catches a glimps of it and he'll run and hide. He is a very smart doggy but these are the first things that come to mind!

Most of the things mentioned above Amos knows too. He definately knows "do you want a treat?" and "bye-bye?" (that's his favorite) and he knows "daddy's home!". I say that to him because we live in an apartment and I can hear my hubby coming up the steps when he gets home. Amos gets sooooo excited when I say that. It's kisses for 10 minutes!

Yeah, my little Gracie also knows most of the stuff listed.
The funniest thing is the word "Hungry". When I say it. She sits in front of me and sticks her tongue out and licks her mouth. It is so cute.
She know "nite nite".
She hate toenail clippers. NOt for her but for me. If I try to clip my nails, she gets up between me and the clippers...
