| Prayers for Phoebe Hi all...my little Phoebe has been sick since Mother's day. She's had diarrhea. She's still sick, so we are heading to the vet as soon as I can get a hold of them (they open at 8 and it's only 6:45). I tried pumpkin and plain yogurt...she won't eat it. She's still drinking water and peeing, so I'm thankful for that, but I'm pretty sure she's lost some weight. She's normally about 6 lbs... she feels lighter to me. Poor girl, I've bathed her butt so many times. The other two yorkies are not sick, so I'm thinking it's not contagious. I have them in separate pens, though and have not put them together at all. I have no clue what this could be from. My dogs are indoor dogs, and they only go out for potty in a penned area in my yard. I haven't taken Phoebe anywhere out in public for awhile either. But I was giving her some Plaque Off tooth stuff....I'm wondering if that set her off or what. I'll update as soon as I know something...thanks for your prayers for my little girl. |

| Prayers for your baby, she is beautiful. Your Mother's Day like mine, my little Pom feel backwards and hit his head, ended up in the Emergency Vet for that day and night. Will be watching to see how she does. Good luck.

| Sorry guys...The vet couldn't get me in till 2:30...so we are just hanging out here. She's hanging in there, but won't eat pumpkin at all. I syringed some water into her mouth...She's only pooped once more, but I doubt there's anything left in her. It's over 36 hrs since she ate. It's a really looooong day when you have a sick dog! But she's alert and acting okay. I WILL post after I get back, I promise. deb |

| Hmmm ..... I understand how desperate you must feel Best wishes to you and your pup But I didn't read that she's vomiting too so that's a good sign Once you get her to the Vet they will get her some fluids and nourishment even if they have to IV her But hopefully it will be something that passes and she'll be better soon

| Hi all...Thanks for praying for my girl today. The doc seems to think she will recover on her own, didn't have a clear answer of why she is having diarrhea, and told me to give her a mild diet. All things I already knew. Good thing is that they are running a fecal test, so we can rule out any bugs. Price for that...$90...sheesh. But she's eating the L/D food with some pumpkin mixed in right now...whooohoo! I'm happy. Her weight was down 1/2 lb! She's about 6 lbs 6 oz usually and weighed 5 lbs 13 oz. just now! Yikes. It was worth the vet trip, for the peace of mind I have now. deb |
