Windy - From the day I heard about Lida I've been really praying that we heard just this kind of news about her - I know it's breaking your heart to watch her right now ...but if she fought off this and got this far - then I think she'll go all the way - She WILL recover and while we're all praying for her to keep getting stronger - I hope she isn't in too much pain but for her to just BE HERE is such an improvement over the alternative.

Once the healing process starts - it can really surprise us - She's a fighter for sure - She must have really needed you in her life because she stayed right with you and it sure sounds like she isn't going anywhere ! I truly hope the worst is behind her.

Sending you HUGE hugs from me and the girls - even my husband is asking about her daily - She has a Big Fanclub in Houston ! Hang in there and come here to talk when you feel sad - Best wishes and kisses to that little fighter - Lida Rose.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement and thoughts. We had the bandages off for a bit yesterday but didn't let her walk around. Some of the bone fragments have fallen off and that's a good thing, it means they won't have to be removed. Some healing has started as well so that's good too. Me and Lida need each other and I think that has a lot to do with it. She is one amazing little girl, so full of life - even now and so determined. She has the best vet, she's his little miracle and he's so proud of her. I'm the only one who can change her bandages without her making a fuss, so I've been doing that for her, guess she trusts me not to hurt her. I will keep everyone informed on her progress, Kelly is making me scads of padded booties in all kinds of colors using Preslee as her model because they are almost like twins.

These little ones are tougher than we give them credit for, and little Lida Rose has really proven that. You're doing the right thing, and will have years ahead of you to enjoy the little darling to prove it!
