Guess what kind of visitor we almost had Last nite we heard the doggie door. Sounded like one of the dogs coming in only it was closed because of the rain we have been getting. We could not figure out what happened until my husband went out in the backyard tonite to cook some steaks and come back in and said "I think I know what tried to get in the doggie door last night." There was a little cotton tail rabbit in our yard and Kayla took off after it when she seen it. I would have died right there if that little thing had gotten in the doggie door with 3 dogs in the house. Eeeeeeek!!!!

Wow, the rabbit was brave and inquisitive. A rabbit hopping in your house at night is frightening, because they love to chew on furniture and they can carry diseases.

I was concerned about it being killed. We also have a few cats that roam our neighborhood but you would think they could sense by smell that dogs were in the yard. I really don't think it was a cat. It probably was the rabbit but whatever it was it sure hit that doggie door hard. I have started putting it on at night where before I left it open so the babies could go out and tee tee if they needed too. No more!!! Its going to be closed at night. I don't want to wake up to any surprises.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | It was more likely a possum or raccoon...following the scent of food.

One day I was talking to a friend on the phone when she said something had just come in the doggy door. She knew it wasn't her dog because he was sleeping beside her. Just then she saw a raccoon walk by the doorway going to the left into the pantry. Then she started laughing because the raccoon walked back out with a loaf of bread in its mouth. We both wondered how long that had been going on!
