| ![]() Hi Everyone, as most of you know i also am a mini aussie person this was a post yesterday on Mini aussie group i had some dog food and a crate ship out from jeffers and the waved the shipping fees when i said what it was for !!! im a lifer now with Jeffers if money is tight here are some other things you can do if there are local People who are going to donate there time and body to the rescue group offer to pet sit watch there home somthing we are offering free pet sitting for the local people in our area going to donate there time and self I just got a call from Yvette LeBlanc with Bayouland Aussie and Cajun Australian Shepherd Club, who most of you know. She asked me to post this to the Aussie-L and for anyone who is on other list to cross post please. The homeless animals from Katrina are in desperate need of help all over the Gulf Coast area, but Yvette is trying to help those animals in her area after seeing first hand what is going on. She was at LSU Vet School in Baton Rouge this morning and they are over flowing with animals of all kinds. The place where the USASA Nationals were help this year is also over flowing with animals and people. They are in desperate need of these items FANS, EXTENSION CORDS, CAGES OF ALL SIZES, FOOD & WATER BOWELS, LEASHES & COLLARS, FOOD of all kinds, these items can not be bought or are in very short supply down there at this time. Money can also be sent and will be put towards medical expenses. These items can be sent to the LSU Vet School, John Parker Coliseum, Emergency Animal Shelter, Baton Rouge, LA 70803 Or items and money can be sent to Yvette LeBlanc, 30200 Barnette Rd, Denhem Springs, LA 70726 please put in the memo area of your check Katrina Animal Emergency Fund Or call Yvette on her cell 225-964-2764 or at her grooming shop 225-667-2667 and see where your help is needed. Everything is tax deductible and receipts will be sent back to all who donate. What is being seen on the news Yvette said isn't even touching just how serious things are down there. 100's and even 1000's of animals are homeless with no feed, water, or medical attention. People are standing on the streets trying to give their animals away due to no place to go with them or money to care for them. People can also purchase items online through PetSmart, Petco, Wal-Mart, and other pet supply companies and have them ship directly to LSU or Yvette. Things are in a desperate situation now and any kind of help is needs ASAP. My friends and I are going to our local stores and asking for their help. We are going to the local $1 stores buying collars, leashes and bowels to send to Yvette. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE cross post this any list you can and send it to everyone you can. Thank you in advance for any and all help that any of you can do.
