| I will definitely be watching on Sunday morning then, I will get up an extra hour early so I can shower early and really concentrate instead of watching the clock like usual on sunday mornings and rushing around at the last minute, lol. Yeah, I am so happy, thanks for telling me!!

| I watched last night and some of those clips were so sad, I had to look away. He did a great job with the rescues, of course. Those people do amazing work. It makes me sick to think that there are puppy mills like that all across the country. I wish we could rescue them all.

| We watched this...and there were gasps, tears, and even some hurrahs (at the very end). I even learned a few tips which I think may help our Punkin, who is a rescued puppy mill breeder. I think the thing I was most impressed with was the dedication of Last Chance and their contributing to pet stores either closing or ceasing to do business with puppy mills. I think it's a testament to our power, the ability to affect change in this industry simply by using our voice and not using our wallets. Don't shop....adopt! |

| My furkids Donating Member | I also watched the show...I almost shut it off when it first started. It made me sick to my stomach. I HATE seeing animals kept like that! And the people that run these mills don't care...AT ALL!! I watch alot of ASPCA shows. I don't understand why they aren't involved with these people. Those poor dogs are kept in such horrible conditions. On the ASPCA shows they go in and TAKE animals away from people who's animals are in the same condition that some of these dogs were in. The lack of vet care is just sickening! I did watch the entire show...just broke my heart.

| I watched the show as well and found it very true to life...........actually I would say that what they showed was the watered down version but that is what I think kept many watching. If they showed some of the things like how the dogs sound when they are "debarked" or worse yet how they are debarked it would have may people sick. Most of the dogs that they showed were IMO in pretty decent shape, there are so many that are not as fortunate to make it out alive. The little yorkies and maltese they showed were so sweet it brought tears to my eyes thinking about how they won their freedom and how many were left behind to continue to suffer. I have to say the I'm in love with the little Yorkie Lovey! I have always wanted to add a little girl and name her that. I've even suggested right here for others to use that name. It's adorable IMO. The issues of owning a rescue pup are huge and it has always been my wish to have a "rescue forum" here on YT. More and more people are taking the rescue route to add to their family which is wonderful but as you can see from the show they have very different issues that need to be handled differently that other pups. Finally, I have to say that the rescue that was featured on the show is doing a great job and the show was a HUGE promotion of their efforts.

Just about every day there is someone asking questions about how to handle the special needs of their rescues which as you know are very unique to these poor little ones. I always try to help and also receive a lot of PM with questions which I do not mind and really want to help if I have suggestions. But I do think that it would be great for member to go to one place and get info about their special needs of owning a rescue.

| So I finally got to see the show on puppy mills, in my area it was on at 9am instead of 8, which is ok cause I was up with a bad headache anyway, so had already decided not to go to church today, so I didnt have to get a shower and dress after all. Wow, what a show. I would really love to see it again, I am hoping this season goes onto dvd, I just love him. The feelings we as humans have by feeling sorry for these dogs kind of does purpetuate the cycle because when we "resue" one puppy from a mill, or a store that is fed by them, they just replace with another puppy. So business continues and nothing is stopped. So very frustrating. Cesar addresses the emotional issues of these dogs, which are often not thought of as much as the physical conditions, and I think I am just like the lady who had the two Cesar was dealing with on the show. I want to pull back and protect, rather than making the animal deal with the emotion and get over it. He is so smart. And gorgeous.

People come here looking for help and post in the GF and even the Training forum and are given general answers that would be appropriate for a dog not coming from a rescue situation.
