Can a pet quality Yorkie grow a long coat like the show ones?

I love the longer coats, I think they are so pretty.. I just want Stormy's hair to grow longer on her head so I can put bows in, I want to keep her body a little shorter then the head hairs. We will see, we have been shaved down so it will be some time before we decide on a hair style lol

It takes work keeping it brushed but with a silky coat it isn't too hard to be pretty but not quite show.

Good answer! I agree, and if it's in the genes, you can have a great looking long coat, but to have a show coat, you really need to wrap it and no playing in grass or wrestling with other dogs. Show dogs are like models, and they have to make some sacrifices to keep looking perfect.

Hi everyone!

I also love the long silky hair. Can anyone tell me where I can find info on wrapping the hair correctly? I just got my baby so it will be awhile before we are at this point and I know it will call for alot of work but I'm willing to give it a try.
