| ![]() Hello everybody!!! ![]() My plan was to put Riley to bed in his crate in the living room but with the summer arriving soon I thought about the heat. I don't have central air in my apartment ![]() ![]() My other option would be to let him sleep in the bedroom. The problem with that is we sleep with the air conditioner on all night and it can get very cold in there. I'm concerned that he would be too cold in there with me and DH and too hot in living room by himself. Any suggestions on What I can do to keep Riley warm/cool at night in the summer? |

| ![]() I like having the puppy in the room with me - it is very important for bonding and so that you can hear if it needs anything. Some put jammies on their little ones - but I would opt for a blanket over a small crate. I have to admit that after the potty training stages, Bailey joined us in our bed - but I know thats not for everyone. Good luck and congratulations!!!!! ![]()

| ![]() What about a small little fan? How hot do you think it will be? Another option, if you don't think the fan will be cool enough - Freeze water in a 2 liter cola bottle and sit in front of the fan (just don't sit too close to crate). You can also buy a crate fan. It runs on batteries though, so it could be expensive, unless you can get rechargable batteries. |

| ![]() You might also want to look into a little shirt for her. They really help the little ones. I wouldn't suggest this for a newbie baby. My MIMI is 4 months old. She gets cold easily. I have a heating pad that I put on our couch on low. Then I put her blanket over the top. She will lay on this to get the chill off. I don't know if you have ever heard of this.....They also make items that can go in the microwave that warm up...teddy bears and such. Just an idea. Just be careful when they start teething.. ![]()

I think I'd be worried about him chewing on the cord of the heating pad. Where would I find one of the microwavable teddy bears? That sounds like a good idea Do you know what are they called exactly? | |

| ![]() There is an item called snuggle safe Snuggle Safe | Snugglesafe | Heated Pet Beds It looks like a frisbie, you heat it up in the microwave. It comes with a protective pad. It is supposed to retain heat all night. I am going to get one for my baby for next winter. Oh,they also make a dog-like pillow that you can put it in. Just google snuggle safe. | ![]() You could just cover the crate with a blanket. Not the entire thing, leave the door uncovered for fresh air. This will keep the crate nice and warm ![]()
