Hi Linda,
If you get the family of Yorkies, I would be able to adopt one of the female pups. So don't worry if they all don't sell. I'm sure others on YT would love to adopt one too! This whole story has captured many hearts. I hope you here from the Father soon. If not, I'd call him. If you need help, I'm willing to help any way I can. Just let me know...Jodi

I believe if you took the mom and babies in and raised them, that right here on yt you would have people wanting to adopt them.. and it to me does not sound like this man does not want much for mom and the litter.. so you would surely retrieve your money and yt members interested would not expect you to just give the babies away.. and that you were doing this for the love of those babies and momma.. and would think you would and should retrive your time and money invested without a thought..

How sad this situation is.
This entire thread just confirms what I tell just about every new person to yorkie talk. That there are a lot of very caring people on this site!!! I am so glad to be a member here. The support and love that is shown here is so unbelievable. Thank you all so much!!!!!

I am so grateful for all this support! I did not get in touch with anyone yesterday. I did PM Betty (Tortoisekeepper), but have not heard from her either. I plan to try again to contact someone today. Will keep you all updated! You know, being the birth of this litter was so untimely, I'm sure the pups did not have their dew claws removed or tails docked. And, the son already told me he knows nothing about papers, if there are any or not. Just some more food for thought.

I happen to think they are super super cute with thier tails, I love seeing the pics from the UK where they still have thier tails... If people adopt them for pets I think that is great!!

I hope that you hear something back soon and that they have not sold them off to god only know who.

Personally I love a yorkie with a tail and the dew claws can be removed during a spay or neuter. I had this done with both Bogey and Doodlebug really not a big deal.

I still have not heard from the dad. I don't have any up front money to offer him so I think it is too pushy to call him back. I still would love to take them.

I'd love to help out. I think I could come up with $2,000 and drive down there to get them. They need to be somewhere when they can be taken care of.

Okay, I just got off the phone with the dad. He said the mom and babies are with a family friend right now. He said that someone was supposed to be coming out to look at them today, and he'd give me a call to let me know what's going on after he heard from the family friend, or he'd have her call me. So, we'll see. If I hear anything, I'll post the news. He said the tails were docked and dew claws removed. He also said the asking price was "substantially lower," though he didn't give me a figure and I didn't make an offer or anything. I'll wait to hear back. But, I would be totally willing to take a trip to LA and make sure it's legit and bring them home.

He did give me the same story about working off shore, his wife passing, etc. So, it sounds legitimate...

I'm so relieved to hear this! Our weather has been bad today; no electricity till a little while ago, so no internet. Please let us know if he calls you back.

But, he did say that there were 5 females and 2 males in the litter.

I'll update everyone tomorrow, I guess. I was talking to my dad, and he was fairly concerned about how the mom would do in a new environment with her pups being so young. Of course, at this point, they are in a foreign environment anyway. Has anyone had experience with moving a mom so soon after whelping?
