| Yorkies and gardens I know that onions and tomatoe leaves are bad for dogs, does anyone else know of anything else that could be harmeful. I have to go get chicken wire tonight my onions started coming up and the little buggers were over there eating the sprouts. And does anyone know of anything that could possibly be sprayed around the garden to help keep them away. I was thinking maybe about spraying a bit of amonia but I wasn't sure if that was a good idea. |

| I have a yorkie magazine that shows what is bad for them. But I know someone has a website. (or try googling it?) Sorry I don't have it with me but I remember grapes, mac nuts, garlic...

| I knew the grapes and nuts, but I didn't know about the garlic. We cook with a lot of garlic and of course the pups get some scraps. |

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | There are also flowers, bushes, trees, etc. that are poisonous. I know about Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Daffodils, Sago Palm, there are others too. Google "Harmful Plants" - it depends on your area. As for the regalar garden veggies: tomatoes, onions, & garlic is all I can think of right now.

| The whole bulb family is toxic to dogs. Garlic, onions, tulips, daffodils, etc. Below are two links that will give you additional information as to what is poisonous when planting your garden. LINK This one is pretty basic. LINK This one is from Cornell University and is pretty extensive. Let us know what you have put into your garden! |
